I've just edited 3 chars whose name were insults.
I usually just edit the names, and after that server has to be restarted. But i will do that no more.


From now on, all chars found with insulting names will be deleted with no refunds.

I've just had complaints about pirates being overzealous to their goals even if the person(s) being their target(s) said they were having Real Life issues.

I'd like to ask the pirates to have understanding for such requests and also the traders not to use that excuse too much as it looses it's credibility. In order to be fair to the hunters too, an idea would be to set up another meeting time/place when such problems arise. It will make the pirates have understanding for such events and not feel 'cheated', also, make less a reason for the traders to F1 because they are being attacked by an unreasonable pirate. The Real Life excuse should NOT be used lightly.

Real Life comes first, please don't forget that, this is just a game (addictive one, I know).

Since today, March 25, Nightfall is the new server administrator of Discovery server. Poll that you can view here proved that Nightfall has support and trust of players for the admin position - over 80% votes were favorable.

Since I'm not regularly playing, the need for a second in-game administrator was obvious. Korrd is not alone now.

I wish Nightfall to be unbiased and not take admin duties too personally. We are a gaming server after all, and, however serious the events on the server might be, real life should not be affected by those. Log on to server often Nightfall, play, and help to make the game better for everyone! You have a chance now.

To provide up-to-date statistics about Discovery Freelancer 24/7 players, FLstat version 1.5 was installed on our server. Player rankings (currently Top-200, sorted by level, might be extended in future) can be viewed here: http://igiss.net/flstats. The page is updated once per 2 hours.

In addition to that, our server was successfully submitted for inclusion into Global Player Rankings database for Freelancer. You can view Discovery rankings page here, it contains some extended features that our own ranking does not provide, like sorting players by kills, and viewing statistics for clans (players with same prefix before their name).

With 2184 total players and 464 active ones, Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7 server is number 9 in worldwide server rating (as of March 23 2007).
