Trading bats and bots during a battle - Exsiled_one - 06-25-2008 omg mwerte my god!:D <3 <3 Trading bats and bots during a battle - ScornStar - 06-26-2008 ' Wrote:In a lot of battles I have seen players trading bats and bots during combat. This seems to be oorp, there really is no in character mechanism in the game to transport these to another ship in battle. Just as your tractor BEAMS things in, it can BEAM them out or on to an allied ship. Trading bats and bots during a battle - sn!p3r - 06-26-2008 Pathetic really, 10 pages of bashing someone who thinks its oorp to trade bots/bats in a fight. But i forgot, non "veterans" aren't allowed to post opinions, or suggestions without permission from the high horsed veterans. Sorry for the bit of flame there, but thats how i feel. Anyways, while trading bots and bats during a fight is.. rather annoying, i wouldn't say its oorp. Just something you have to deal with Trading bats and bots during a battle - Asymptotic - 06-26-2008 ![]() deal with it, Akuma Trading bats and bots during a battle - Kuraine - 06-26-2008 I'd have to go with the general consensus. While it would be nice to put a stop to it, as I find it so annoying when using any of my ships and all the enemies just trade bots and bats for what seems like forever, dragging out the fight to the point where I just want to let myself die out of sheer frustration and boredom, it is impossible to enforce and I don't think any rules or regulations should be put in place to try and enforce it either. Guess we'll just have to live with it. Trading bats and bots during a battle - Akumabito - 06-26-2008 ' Wrote:I'd have to go with the general consensus. Well, it could start with the faction leaders, couldn't it? I mean that's the role of leadership you have, the one you (not you specifically, but faction leaders in general) keep saying gives you the right to stomp all over us little guys. I've given botts to a CG member in one of those long drawn out battles at her request. If you think it's wrong, stop it within your faction. If you don't think it's wrong then keep doing it, but don't say nothing can be done because it can. Trading bats and bots during a battle - Kuraine - 06-26-2008 Yes I could, and perhaps I will. I will discuss it with my other commanders within the GC to decide on which course of action to pursue, however. You do know that if the GC do this, they will get a huge load of 'women can't fly' jokes... I agree with Marburg on this point. It's not really, to my mind OORP to assist your comrades in battle via giving them bats/bots, it's not like they are being spawned. There is still a depreciation once the exchange is over. Unless you got a Freighter standing by handing them out. In a good fight, they are expended rather rapidly anyway so once someone is out... clearly the tactics change. I like Marburg's idea tho. |
