This so called 'Order Council' seems to have given a couple of indies some power in Bs| (lol ironic tag much?), and over other indies, and is stamping over indy RP.
Now, the THC RP, I'm not a fan of, but these methods are rubbish. If they're breaking rules, that's an admin job.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think THC and the capship gang are made out of complete and utter fail.
Having them waltz into NY, plant themselves wherever and start blasting away at everything makes me facepalm every time.
My point is that trying to curtail someone's behavior using RP mechanisms that fall outside the scope of what's reasonable is, in itself, inappropriate.

However, something special for mr "Whoa man... that alien is like, blue...." might be in order, as synth is both non-smokeable, and not something an Order battleship commander would likely indulge in.

Y'know, I didnt even know I was a part of this 'council' until today, when I logged on and was told "oh, by the way, you're helping us run things now".
Honestly, I dont care who does it, as long as the situation is taken care of. I do think wolfpack is overreacting a bit in general, but I'm tired of people crying to me every time players like THC, kaizer.soze, Lee and others raid new york with a fleet of battleships and expect me to do something about it.
What the hell am I supposed to do when I'd get sanctioned for handling it in-RP? Frankly I'm glad someone's stepping up and getting admin support to handle this matter, whether or not I have a say in what actually happens.
Now, everyone who isnt an order player, and everyone who these changes doesnt effect, needs to get out of the thread. You're causing unnecessary drama and flames, this thread would probably only be three pages long if you folks hadnt hit the post button. Hold off, and wait for an admin reply to this mess.

As we have yet to hear from any Admins in this thread, I can only imagine that they're furiously discussing the exact same thing we are, in the privacy of their private forums. I await their input with bated breath, and until that time... I shall go play Diablo 2.

These changes affect the community as a whole, as they have wide-ranging ramifications on the current stated and enforced rules.

As Drake said, if this is allowed, every faction will then be allowed to enforce their RP on independents. This debate is anything but unnecessary.
(Plus I was/am going to join the Bs in 4.85. That's a wait and see thing at this point.)

I too, am waiting with baited breath regarding an admin decision on this matter. And I mean something clear-cut and unambigous, not "Erm... yea, wolf can go do his thang.. whatever that is."
I want someone to come in and tell my why it is okay for a controlling faction/council to dictate to others, when a few days ago it was not, and before then it was a little blurry?
Please, enlighten me.

Also, if it is ooRP for the Order to be in New York due to lack of NPCs, it should also be ooRP for the LSF to do anything but sit in the pub.
