Edit: Finished hardpointing the Kusari Dessie now. I'll resize the hitbox and test it out in-game when I get home.

Yes, I agree the Kusari destroyer is too small.
And yes I have fought it, with the Bretonian destroyer.
IT IS too bloody small.

Just flew the Dessie in-game to test the hardpoints/hitbox were working properly. Turns out the turrets I was refering to aren't declared in the ini file, so they don't show up in game. You wouldn't know about them unless you'd peeked at the hardpoints.

The Dessie loaded fine in openSP from a previous save file I made, so all the hardpoints, cmp and sur are working correctly in a seemless transition, I just need to test the hitbox thoroughly to make sure it is working, then it'll be ready for submission.

The only thing that will need to be altered in the ini files is the camera position and the LOD ranges.

Not really a final decision. It's still just a concept at the moment. It all depends on whether I can get the hitbox working and if the Devs will accept it. I can't see why they won't as long as it's working fine. But then, not everyone shares my views.

At this point I'm struggling through technical difficulties with the hitbox, hopefully when Frozen gets on skype he'll be able to point me in the right direction. I haven't worked with spliced surs before.

That's correct right there.

Nothing is finalized at all. This is up to the devs whether or not this will get in game. For me personally, a 1.6 increase isn't horrible, as long as the weapons and everything are adjusted accordingly. Anywho, we'll see where it goes.

This may have already been suggested, but if the upscaled version does indeed go into discovery, I would suggest using the vanilla NPC turret configuration, which has 11 turrets instead of the current 9 and different placement for some turrets allowing for more fire-power to the back.

This is my bit: If this thingie have a gunboat size, turn it to gunboat! And create some kind of Kusary cruiser to replace it!
