Ended up with this - a Philips SHG7210.
I can't comment on it yet, have yet to try it out.

If you don't know what is available, this is almost always the best way to go.

If you don't have a budget to stick to, you should ask what sort of <insert item> they use themselves, particularly if they work in a computer shop.

I Recommend Some Astro A40's without the Mix Amp, although it can be allitle pricey it's worth it completely

but that may be too much

Logitech G930.

Surround sound, durable, wireless (I can get into my kitchen across my entire house and never miss a beat), lasts a good 10 hours w/o being plugged in, less chances of the wire yanking out something important the moment it gets caught on anything, did I mention surround sound.

Currently $99.99 on Amazon, mine were 160$ or so.

Un-limit your budget and buy them.

I've got Razer Orca and Electra.
Best headphones I ever had.

RE: Headsets? - SMGSterlin - 07-06-2013

I ordered a pair of G930's once.

Dead on arrival.

Which just adds to the list of problems I've had with Logitech.

Don't buy Logitech, if you ask me.

You could've gotten new ones if you contacted tech support.
My G500 works great.

Don't buy the only brand that actually has customer service AND great products?

I've never had a problem with Logitech. Did you install the drivers? Did you put the USB in the little stand it came with, and not directly into your computer?

User error/being a schmuck is usually the cause of problems with Logitech products.

Granted the G930 has a hatred for 64 bit operating systems, but you can download any fixes you might need from their website. I just needed the drivers.

RE: Headsets? - Govedo13 - 07-08-2013

The problem with the Logitech is that they make medicore products but they sell them on the price of high end products.
Logitech is not bad brand for cheap stuff but buying good stuff from them is idiotic.
Same story for "gaming" Headsets for over 100€. They just suck compared with the competition. More info there:
