That just wouldn't happen, as it seems the cheat detection works over longer periods of time... You might get one lag spike, but it doesn't last half an hour does it?... Admin notice: Modding - Internity - 07-24-2008 Yea, it doesn't, your right here. I didn't think at that. Admin notice: Modding - Dab - 07-24-2008 When you get hit by a lag spike, you then go back to where you originally were when the spike first appeared as soon as its over. The server was recieving nothing from your connection for it was either disrupted, or the server itself is lagging. Either way, the server is not receiving information on the players during lag spikes or crashes. Plus it would be a short time period, not a long and continuous one like in the example. Admin notice: Modding - hribek - 07-25-2008 All right. What more can a person do than post in the ban appeal thread and PM a few admins when he has no proof that he didn't cheat because he just didn't and doesn't even know what he's banned for? I guess eternal patience is the answer. Or submitting a violation report on oneself to get a proper sanction notice? (loses the third person) I understand you have a lot of unban requests. I've been playing here for about half a year now. I'm not that silly to ruin my own little bit of earned reputation on Discovery. I'd like to humbly request that some person with proper privileges looks into my case instead of watching this thread. Thank you very much. Admin notice: Modding - Korrd - 07-25-2008 ' Wrote:I would like to ask one more question if possible .Lag spikes appear as very weird and inconsistent acceleration periods. Like 300 -> 3000 -> 403578 -> 340958358 -> 350. They are easy to distinguish from speedmodders. Admin notice: Modding - jetth - 08-07-2008 Just a friendly notice. There might be some players editing ships' turn rate...I don't think it could be detected by the server. Admin notice: Modding - LifeisAGame - 09-08-2008 Hello Im got a Noob like Question to this: To Connect the Server im Use the Global Server Workaround Mod, all other Ways/Programms refused work by me. it can be Found here: http://stats.freelancerserver.de/ and It is based on the FL Server Statistics page. Im Hope its ok to Use the Mod to Connect? In the Game im Notice no problems with it.. Admin notice: Modding - Silent_M - 09-09-2008 yes it is even recommended in the help/tutorials section Admin notice: Modding - Tapir - 03-14-2009 This is my FLMM mod list... http://i41.tinypic.com/2927j94.jpg I did not install these mods, they seem to come with FLMM by default, at least with the installation I have. I haven't been banned yet so I guess they aren't really installed, just sitting in the FLMM directory. Should I just delete them from the FLMM dir or do I need to find a "clean" FLMM installation? Admin notice: Modding - atm999 - 03-14-2009 only the ones with a green check mark next to them are activated. You can remove the others if you want to, but as long as you don't activate them it doesn't make one bit of difference. |
