Having used an MR from 2009 until now, I can state with confidence that the old MR could drop a shield in one hit, and that the current one cannot.
A shield drops if it falls under 10%, so Justin (Durandal) is right. Get your FL right.

Basically if you get someone's shields under 10% they drop. Afterwards the leftover shield is added to the shield points once your shield restores. it's why you regenerate different amounts of shield at different times.

Nowadays almost everyone and their dog is flying with CD. This does rustle some jimmies, particularly those of Shotgun Activist Party. For greater good, we want old range and old stats back to create a new equilibrium between CD ~ MR.

Are you sure this made on this purpose ?
I'd find this very strange if it was nerfed only with the shotgun ability in mind.
Personaly i'd like to have the old MR stats back.
