This is usually used in trading, where the player forms the other characters under his control and trades with a much larger cargo space than it would be possible with one character. What if... Oh, nevermind, you've replied me in edit.

RE: To Admins - Multiboxing - Sath - 07-16-2014 Because people were abusing it? To make more money, and for other obvious reasons. But seems like the punishment is not that severe. Maybe a mere warning (think) RE: To Admins - Multiboxing - sindroms - 07-16-2014 More like a way to avoid making useless "Unless" exceptions to an already complicated rules list. If it is forbidden, it should not have a huge amounts of asterisks attached to the rule. EDIT: Quite frankly, I don't mind people multiboxing. If there is a group of traders flown by the same person, I get to ask more money from them. And if they chose to be stupid, I tend to intentionally let some go, while blowing some up, while stripping off guns from the other, making the player do a HUGE amount of micromanagement as he recovers from that attack. It all balances out in the end. RE: To Admins - Multiboxing - Ponge - 07-16-2014 As far as my latest knowledge, multiboxing can be used, but solely for equipment transfer, and for a very little time. This was stated by admins multiple times in the past, and I did not hear anywhere since that multiboxing is forbidden for equipment transfer. Seems we need a green comment, please. I would honestly love a green comment approving this, because it's not such a tediously defined example needing several well-lawyered statements or exceptions to the rule. It's rather basic. RE: To Admins - Multiboxing - sindroms - 07-16-2014 Right now it is impossible to multibox without specifically going around it. As such I'd assume it is forbidden. RE: To Admins - Multiboxing - Thyrzul - 07-17-2014 What green do you guys need? The answer is right here, 6th point, 6th line. Pretty self-explainatory. Because in the past Admins stated that you can fly two of your ships by yourself (multibox) if you use it strictly only for equipment exchange (when you don't have any other options) and for the short time needed for the exchange, despite the rule wording being the very same. Something was changed not too long ago to stop multi-boxing, unfortunately this also means you wont be able to multi-box to change equipment around on ships. So I wouldn't even try mate. Best not to test the admins themselves, but the anti-cheat software is even harsher. |
