RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - Wildkins - 10-03-2014 My problem specifically is detailed here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=120874 I'm not sure why it happens, and it only happens every few days, but when it does, any PvP is virtually unplayable. RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - R.I.P. - 10-03-2014 Been having a bad problem too, other games i play are fine. Be careful i had lag so bad my game crashed and froze my PC, when i tried to get back in it kept crashing on me and tried too many times now my account is banned, RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - Freeport7 - 10-03-2014 (10-03-2014, 04:00 AM)Ktayn Wrote: Is it just via disco? So if I write /ping I get no return. On the second connection, putting /ping on the first minute or so gets a n/a return message on all values. After a while, the ping message shows the normal values. This is what I could determine from my attempts. RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - evanz - 10-03-2014 do spyware scans, using "spybot search and destroy 1.6.2" and "maleware bytes maleware remover" http://www.safer-networking.org/mirrors16/ https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - R.I.P. - 10-03-2014 (10-03-2014, 06:36 PM)evanz Wrote: do spyware scans, using "spybot search and destroy 1.6.2" and "maleware bytes maleware remover" I would not put spybot on my worst enemies computer. RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - [FL-ER] - 10-04-2014 OK, i have done something that seemed to have work.. i still haven't done enough tests to know if the problem will come back or not, but here's what i've done: Because of what evanz said about spyware scans i remembered that this could be a problem because of some incopatibility, or whatever with the anti-virus (i think i've read something like this before) And I starter comparing my computer to my cousin's and my girlfriends' <- cause none of them have ever had this same problem. Well, the main difference between our computers is that both their computers run on Windows 8 and use Windows Defender as antivirus system while i use Windows 7 and use Microsoft security Essential. So, i unnistaled Microsoft Security Essentials and activated Windows Defender on my PC aswell. So far, this simple change has made possible for me to change account without getting disconnect... but i haven't done many tests yet. anyway, my advice is, if you're using windows, unnistall whatever anti-virus program you're curently using, and activate Windows Defender instead.... it's worth a try. RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - Rebirth - 10-04-2014 Those crashes do only happen to me, on my computer where I'm using Discovery Launchpad. But for my brother, who is using only FLAM the account changes work well. So I believe it is the launchpad that gives us this, fatal crashes. But also it might be a incompability between different programms. I can take a look over your programms, via teamviewer. Just add me in skype and we can try to solve your problem. regards, Rebirth RE: Excessive disconnects rendering the game unplayable - MÃmir - 10-04-2014 Except I use FLAM. I guess we are all experiencing something similar but slightly different. In my case a router reset worked - howcome? Does that rule out spyware and the likes?
