I didn't know nomads were exempt from that rule. I always RP before engaging on nomad, always have. Probably will continue to. mind you its rarely as clear as "yours dead now"

Unless stated in the ID, you have to RP like at least your 2 lines.

Do human players likewise have to RP before they attack Nomads, or is that just a nomad-only perk?

after playing a nomad for a few days i realized everyone was doing 1 lines and engaging.
So either they are all wrong or... yeah. You can.
Note: i did my 2 lines and they engaged first.

No ID is allowed (except for K'hara ID, but as Scrougie said - it's discouraged) to attack BEFORE putting up some roleplay.
However, there is possibility for some kind of loop-hole, because - as it is stated openly - ID rules can override the server rules and no ID states that RP is needed before engagement, with exception of certain IDs in which demand is needed.
But I think this is where server rules enter, because they are to shape rules not included in the player ID.

Terrorist ID can just blow you up without words IF the SRP says they can. SRP ID's are not cookie cutter and all used the same. I don't think any exist that can, but when in doubt check the SRP subforum.
