Why not put something like dynamic research that would help factions and houses progress. The requrement of strategic resources and such. Other than that you people really need to redesign those lanes. They look bad.

Ageira disapproves, because Ageira factually owns entire Trade Lane and Jump Gate infrastructure and their very existence is bound with both. I believe that's why former Second World countries have better internet - because it would take billions just to replace all the cables in entire US alone.

Ageira doesn't own the gates. House governments and the GMG do. They own the patents on the technology, and the sole rights (and ability) to maintain and repair them - but not the physical articles themselves. Same as Apple produces and owns the rights to iPads, but couldn't go door to door and confiscate products people had already brought if they wanted to.

The sole difference is that Ageira can't lawfully shut down lanes but can deny maintenance, means sooner or later they'll shut themselves down anyways if Ageira wants them to.
