Nomads are rallying defense fighters near the Ravine in Omicron 99. Artificial worm holes will open in 15 minutes!" Duration: 1 hour Jump hole types: 1 way only, open for 1 hour (means multiple re-engagements are possible and permitted), snubs only Order Jump Hole: Omicron Mu, position 24492 40 -15521 orient 0 -23 0 (near planet Akabat) ----> Omicron Major, position -23564 -112 18552 orient 137 -68 -175 (outside of power generator tunnel entrance) Nomad Jump Hole: Omicron 99, position -12304 1284 6298 orient 101 21 179 (near the Ravine) ----> Omicron Major, position -19011 -8502 25431 orient 0 80 0 (inside Nomad Generator room) If making a jumphole inside the generator room gives issues with people stuck in walls or exploding on arrival, there could be the following alternative for the nomad JH destination: Omicron Major, position -17574 -2023 22476 orient -19 43 1 (outside tunnel entrance) In this case, there could be power spheres that give credits or points when destroyed inside the generator room. Or maybe a nomad Gunboat or cruiser teleported into the room, which is the aim to destroy. If the nomad jump is placed outside the tunnel and not inside the generator room, I suppose capitol ships could be allowed to jump in, as blockades and blockade breakers, while only snubs can enter the generator room. Hopefully that will lead to some tactic thinking and use of strategy. I imagine such an event must be repeated and re-balanced before it's properly balanced via flying distances from spawn locations, and/or number of power spheres in the generator room. Generally, I would hope that making scoreboards for individual players and faction tags can be implemented, and give some bragging rights on top of the fun and credits. I've been very busy with work and couldn't get around it. This along a few improvements to the event system is slated for development next week. RE: Poll: Alert System - Roman.Scott - 09-18-2016 Worked pretty well today. Took out an NPC OC Dread and several Rogue destroyers today. However, since I was alone I tucked tail and ran when hostile players started being beamed into the battle with out me having any back up. Still quite fun though! |
