Well if your cruiser have more than 295K hp you will survive from 2 Heavy mortar even with CAU 6 RE: Anti-Shield Mortar - Epo - 08-01-2016 Actually it could be a good tactical toy, if it could hurt groups with one salvo. Like if it had massive shield damage and group area effect, it would be a nice toy for group fights - for example compared with higher powercore usage, one battleship could hit with IBC into the middle of battleship formation delivering massive shield damage to some of them with one salvo. Would it be even possible? PS: It would even prevent snubs from hugging battleships And speaking about Gaga's post, he has a point. Not much things should be counted basing on x cap8 modifier as the most common one is cap6, not cap8. Like all vets who play here could afford to buy cap8 for each cap they have, but new guys and not really powertrading ones cannot. We shouldn't make something A even if some part of community can't do B. Like trading is very boring and people even with some months experience doesn't have lots of money. Would it be even possible? That is possible but only for missiles and this weapon is not missile RE: Ionblast Cannon (Anti-Shield Mortar) - Titan* - 08-02-2016 well @Thunderer and i was thinkin about its stats so here it is; Suggested Stats for Ionblast Cannon ![]() Hull Damage Per Shot: 52000 Shield Damage Per Shot: 426000 Range: 4400m Projectile Speed: 800 m/s Refire Rate: 0.10 Energy Usage: 2500000 So it does 52k damage to hull, yes. Because it should insta kill a snub if it hits, it will melt down small crafts. Actually Snubs that have more than 22.000 HP will survive from Ionblast Battleships actually have 425.000 Shield and 426.000 Shield damage is enough to deshield any battleship with one shot ![]() It has same range, speed and energy usage with Heavy Mortar Overall Capital Weapons Anti-Shield Efficiency and Ionblast Cerberus Turret: 0.2 Anti-Shield Efficiency Pulse: 0.18 Anti Shield Efficiency Ionblast Cannon: 0.17 Anti-Shield Efficiency Primary Turrets: 0.13 to 0.14 Anti-Shield Efficiency Mortar: 0.12 Anti-Shield Efficiency Heavy Mortar: 0.10 Anti-Shield Efficiency Cerberus still most powerfull weapon in the game but only at close range. RE: Ionblast Cannon (Anti-Shield Mortar) - Thunderer - 08-02-2016 Mortar anti-shield efficiency is 0.12, heavy mortar 0.1, primary 0.13 - 0.14. RE: Ionblast Cannon (Anti-Shield Mortar) - Wesker - 08-02-2016 ultra pulse bug weapon detected RE: Ionblast Cannon (Anti-Shield Mortar) - Titan* - 08-02-2016 (08-02-2016, 01:56 PM)Thunderer Wrote: Mortar anti-shield efficiency is 0.12, heavy mortar 0.1, primary 0.13 - 0.14. RE: Ionblast Cannon (Anti-Shield Mortar) - sindroms - 08-02-2016 Dunno, I never saw the appeal in dedicated EMP weapons, especially if they use the same amount of energy as their counterpart. Halving the energy usage would make more sense and make people consider swapping it out. Otherwise why would this weapon be used instead of a HM, which does shield AND hull damage? |
