Here's a view from the other side of the coin.
I'm chasing a Rouge GB in my GB, I had another GB as my partner(liberty police) my partner told rouge GB to leave system or die. I then proceded to chase rouge GB around the bloody mine field. All the while i had /L and told him that he should leave system. his reply? I was in cruise before you all told me to stop. and. No way i'm gonna try to face 2 GB's.
I totally agree about facing 2 GB's if your only a GB. What i don't get is how i had to keep explaining to the guy that he needs to leave system cause he ran from an engagement. Finally he left to alaska(i did not follow) I think if your not a pirate and your not tryin to extort money from someone, then if ole dude is Cruisin away, fight's over. You won. If your chasing some peeps and he cruises away, he should leave ASAP.
But honestly, how many times have you all seen the "loser" meander around the system until he gets bored?
Rules are cool when they can be automatically inforced(Via Game).(imagine if we all filed a sanction report Everytime we saw a Rule violation like this[Shudders])

Meh, i see no problem with the loser cruisin away, i mean i always thought that the reengagemnt rule was stupid, but hey nice polite non pvpwhore conduct was getting exploited and it came in. i personally don't report it, but hey to each his own.

If someone cruises away and my purpose was to drive them off, then I'll let them run. If someone cruises away after breaking the law while I'm on a lawful, or tries to flee after costing me a transport while I'm pirating, they're dead. In-RP insults to the character may cause a similar reaction depending on the character (Hektor does not take kindly to insults... neither does Lenora, but she at least has rules). If I went there to assassinate someone, or if the person operates in direct, conscious opposition to my faction, you're also dead. But other than that... I don't need to kill you. I've made my point, you know not to mess with me in the future; and to top it off, you know that you don't need to jump me, because I won't hound you just because.

Sometimes a ship doesnt deserve to get away. I'm not saying that's the deal in your case, but it happens...
last night I picked up a police tagged, mercenary ID'd, IMG spatial flying in omicron minor. After several warnings he refused to leave the system, and when I caught up to him he made a run for planet toledo. I told him he was not cleared to dock (the equivalent of saying "hey, hows about you RP instead of abusing game mechanics"), he docked anyways. After he launched I engaged, and he docked on Isis - OORP docking twice in a row, refusing to RP one bit.
He didnt survive taking off from the isis after that.

that's the main issue i have with this Server.
I love the RP, just wish we could MAKE everyone do at lease a Bare minimal RP. the dude that tenacity had to tangle with in my oppinion shoule be givin a 1 day ban(with sufficient screenshots) for not RP'n on a RP server.
Do I RP 100% 24/7/365 no(i'm not gonna carry pilots or food in my hauler)
but i will not exploit pvp/game mechanics like some of these yahoo's do.

y'know, i do have the screenshots to get him sanctioned, but im not going to post them in a report. As long as the guy learns something from the encounter, I did my job. The only time I post sanction threads is when someone really, honestly deserves a sanction. This guy, while he didnt RP at all, might eventually learn what those two letters means if he has time on the server to work with people.

Aye,
getting shot without a word, getting cd'd without any saying, attacks without a warning, beeing destroyed causes some guys hang out at the jumphole...
Example:
There is a hostile ship A, I move there, flyby and scan the vessel, while doing this i recognize someone is shooting at me and yea.... it is normally the guy iam scanning at this moment. and guess what... there was as always not a word about.

I say, beeing a squiddy in this world is as bad as beeing a SCRA member or a Xeno.
Noone likes you, everyone shot you and the most people dont even know how to roleplay with you.
I didnt counted how often i just got a 'Engage' or just 'Die alien'; but hey, i kill them or move away, thats all...
Those people are like not beeing there for me, i do with them my buisness and move on.

But yeah, it is annoying, cause i have to scan the other ship for its cargo and i am bound to factionized engagement-rules also.

But all in all, come on, we are the really bad guys, there is no way beeing worse then we from Squiddy-Club, Coa-Crew or Xeno-Axis. (hmm, maybe except you are a Mon'Star)

I dunno, I like the paranoia that an attack can come from anywhere.
Makes me suspect everyone. If they don't shoot, it's a pleasant surprise for me, and usually an unpleasant surprise for them. >:)
