Buff the Nephilim so I can laugh even harder when I get angry PM's after I solo them in my Mako.

From a balance perspective the Nephilim is underpowered more than anything. Unless you uncloak behind someone or manage to get into very short range, you're going to have a lot of trouble damaging enemies while being unable to dodge any damage because of how massive the ship is. Not only from other battleships, but from any ship shooting you. The powercore nerf would really hinder the ship even further and although it looks good on paper, it fails to live up to the expectations in practice. A very strong advantage it has are the infinite prims though.

About the SRP / OFs only, that's up to the admins.

Zoner Primes are infinite?

RE: Nephilim discussion - Gypsie Skripto - 01-18-2017

I voted 2. Carriers are enough for us indies imho.

Edit (and expand): I've been a zoner since 2008 and I held a diplomatic position in an official faction for some time too. Half of the trouble that ended/ends up on a Cof, TAZ, OSI or Omicroners/Solar desk is about some indie flying a capital ship.

Don't yell at me, but I've always disagreed with the fact that Zoners have huge warships. Just the idea of a peaceful people having OP carriers and stuff is just odd to me.

Ti some extent I agree with you. But the thing about the Nephilim - at least according to the lore, it's in no way a warship. Thr Leviathan is a warship, and probably the most overpowered warship in discovery, but that's SRP, like it should be. The Aquilon kind of looks like it was meant to be a warship which i think is a bad idea. That is a discussion for another thread though, as i'd like the main focus of this one to be the Nephilim.

@Antonio i can understand your view as a balance dev and i wont tell you that you are wrong to say that. However, in some cases i believe it woild be necessary to go to extreme measures to change something. As i mentioned before, a powercore nerf would in itself be enough in my mind. To balance this, a huge hull buff would make sense (i mean, the ship is massive and built with defense in mind) maybe this is a really strange way to balance it, but as of now it's the only way that would make sense inrp as well as oorp. Admittedly i did not think about what the devs would say when i posted the first post, but that is why i wanted people to post theit thoughts here. Some people anyway.

Thanks for your replies

Infinite as in taking only 20k of your 9 million core per second (4 prims require roughly 320k power/s, recharge is 300k/s), which you can shoot for a long long time (7.5 minutes, to be exact).

I don't know where people got the idea that Zoners are peaceful. They just don't start wars, but living in the most dangerous places of Sirius forces you to be the opposite of peaceful. True, diplomacy and trade are a Zoner's best weapons, but we were in the frontline during the nomad war. In fact, Zoners have been involved in more military conflicts than many military focused factions.
