There is no risk because none of the NPC corporations will go down under. If I buy say, Universal stock at the lowest price, if I just wait, it'll eventually give me profit. There's no risk of Universal going completely bankrupt...
This would be a good idea with player-started corporations only, not NPC factions. This would require much RP work and... much trust, and it would be difficult, if not impossible to implement in-game.
