just one thing, DO NOT EXTEND THE MINES!!!

thew mines are impossible to avoid unless you have a drake and incredible skills. they kill fighters in 2 hits and are so packed tightly they are impossible to get through.

Okay... I just managed to get to Newcastle in singleplayer.

' Wrote:PS: Woa... Newcastle is HUGE!
This system is far too frelling big. Who made this monstrosity? ( *reads thread* ah, some crazy person named Angel) I guarantee it's larger than any system in the entire main game. It also breaks the visibility range. Of NEBULAS. I'm looking right now at a nebula cloud on another side of the system, and it's cut unnaturally in half because half of it is beyond my visible range for nebulas. Why is this system so monstrously huge?

Somebody went psycho nutso. And needs a clonk on the head. Seriously. This system is too bloody big.

I have a habit of exploring the systems in each segment of the singleplayer. Since I'm at the Bretonia segment, I'm exploring Bretonia. Unfortunately, this system is so big this will make it take far longer than I intended and I expect to be bored out of my skull trying to trace along all the patrol paths.

Be glad I have no idea where this person is, and that murder is illegal.

I would have to agree with you. Almost all of the player made systems are really massive and I don't know why. It seams cheesy, but why couldn't we have made them a bit smaller, it would have taken away a lot of the empty space with nothing in it. Other then that, it is a great system.

As well, I noticed this glitch with omega 15. When you are looking at Rostock base and you are on the other side of a nebula. You can see the base as if there was nothing there. But when you are in the nebula, you can't see it. It should be fixed if at all possible.

Verginix Out

That visibility of the base is due to the new visibility range I guess, it's the same for every base behind a Nebula (I've seen FP 10, Tripoli and a few more just to disappear upon entering the nebula) 'cause if I enable the mod with 14k visibility, it gets less noticeable..

Gahh! Storm Hawke, make that picture a bit smaller..!

I don't see why we should put all that stuff back so that its a death trap.. but oh well..

Your insane!

Angel is perfectly sane... thats why we didn't get along too well.

Most of my systems will be normal sized. Exception is Omicron-82 which is going to be bigger than Newcastle.. And no trade lanes. I told you guys I'd make a huge system that would take you awhile to explore. Its also going to have a few features you'll find nowhere else.. Except Nightfall's systems. And the system won't be plane-dependent. It shall deviate and you'll be traveling UP and DOWN as much as you do left and right.

It would have been 1920x1200, but Freelancer doesn't support that. It doesn't even support my screen's aspect ratio at all (8:5 AKA 16:10 AKA slightly taller than 16:9 widescreen), it just has flat-rate 4:3, which I find somewhat annoying.

And Dab... that... is evil. But good. So long as it's off the beaten tracks and whatnot, I can potentially avoid it if I feel like it. Newcastle's declared Bretonia space, so I felt compelled. It's explored for me, now.
