Latin is the basis of the majority of the romantic languages. Greek is the basis of latin, as the defeat of (spurious detail of greek commander that i can't remember and cba to look up) meant he decamped to italy and founded the roman empire. the actual corsairs were from the barbary coast, of north africa. think libya. hence tripoli station. as for mangling the spanish in the wiki... well, after 800+ years, any language will evolve eventually Do the Outcasts and Corsairs nations refere themselves as such? - Maskage - 03-15-2011 ' Wrote:the actual corsairs were from the barbary coast, of north africa. think libya. hence tripoli station. Imho depends on your position in the society as what you consider yourself. If you are flying around as a pirating scoundrel it's more likely that you call yourself just an outcast instead of a maltese.
