Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Etaphreven - 02-15-2008 The ID is just fine in my opinion. Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - pipsqueak - 02-15-2008 Variety in the game comes from choices.... If there is no choice i.e. One option is so much more appealing than other, then you see monotony. Case in point the spam of revans talons in the recent past. BS spamming now. etc etc. I suggest the following.....you want to freelance ???? sure... but what are the bad points to this choice? None. They fly what ship they want and what weapons they want....no limit Limit Over 4000 cap ships to Original house factions ....(BTW I am not a part of any house faction) Why? cause as a faction Pilot, there is more of a chance to die in hostile territory.... Freelancer can some times get away with it. There has to be some distinction between civilian and military.... Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Qunitinius~Verginix - 02-15-2008 Yes they should take unlawful bounties. No, they shouldn't use transports. Verg Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Dopamino - 02-16-2008 Why shouldn't they use them? Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - pchwang - 02-16-2008 Quote:Why shouldn't they use them?/signed. Why not? Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Xing - 02-16-2008 I thought in FL ID it is writen they were lawful civilians? Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Yngen - 02-17-2008 Here's an idea: allow Freelancers to only fly ship classes that are available in Vanilla 1.0 (fighters and freighters.) Since Vanilla is the Freelancer story, the story about a self employed opportunist who works when he wants to and eventually saves the galaxy, make Freelancers in Discovery follow that model. So in other words, let them do pretty much any job in the game, piracy, unlawful bounties included-but severely limit their ships. Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - kingvaillant - 02-18-2008 Let them take unlawful contract Trade But limit them to Civilian ship only (this include ships that aren't belong to any factions and Zoner ships (CR and BS classes excluded) Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Orin - 08-27-2008 I hate to open up a dead topic, but regarding Freelancers flying freighters/transports, I have a point I need to make. What deal was Edison Trent involved in before FP7 was destroyed? He was hauling a load of boron. Was he doing so in an Eagle? A million credits worth in 70 cargo units? I don't think so. Also, if you look at the Freelancer inside cover flap (in the small case) there is a short log of an un-named Freelancer's exploits in which he signs a deal with the Liberty Navy to haul goods (food or something) somewhere. His log then says the cargo is pirated etc. etc. As you can see, Digital Anvil had every intention of having Freelancers piloting freighters or cargo vessels. There is even more evidence of them flying these than fighters, actually. Freelancer ID infocard / roleplay - Cellulanus - 08-27-2008 Then again, does anyone know what Trents pre FP7? I'm thinking Bretonian freighter. |
