Disclosing who's bountied you. - Snak5 - 09-06-2011 ' Wrote:The red cell refers to the factions' weapons. There is no "Rogue Very Heavy Fighter". It's a "Pirate Very Heavy Fighter".This is just false information. If you are not informed well, that Werewolf is manufactured and reserved for Mollys/Rogues, you should not make such statement. PTrans and PTrain was made open to all unlawfuls by a technology grant. That is rule wise, Privateers could use them if they have white cell to Rogues or Mollys. They don't. You can't use them. http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65372 Disclosing who's bountied you. - mtjsmith - 09-06-2011 It has been stated that the pirate transport is OPEN USE. If you don't believe me, or have difficulty understanding that, do a forum search and you'll find the post saying so. This is why I use it. As for my original question, I didn't think about Bloodlikes point which actually makes a lot of sense. Disclosing who's bountied you. - BaconSoda - 09-06-2011 As a Mercenary, I don't think it's too hard for a character to think about whose payroll that Mercenary is on. If I am a Rogue and I am sitting in Galileo, the options are rather slim. It can either be my enemy #1 the Liberty Navy or my enemy #2 the Kusari Naval Forces. It isn't really that hard for me to figure that out as a character. If someone else hired that Mercenary, then hey, maybe I'm not supposed to know. But you know sometimes I get hired to say "You killed Indigo Montoya's father! Prepare to die!" for Indigo Montoya, and I'll tell you that this is the only time I will ever tell you who hired me to kill you. Part of hiring a Mercenary is the anonymity. If I wanted someone to know I want him dead, I'll tell him, but when I hire a Mercenary, I usually don't want the target to know. Also as a player it takes about 10 seconds to figure out who bountied you. Search your callsign or your faction in the bounty section. I actually have about six bounties on me right now. How do I know this? I searched my name, and I know that if I search Corsair, then my Corsair character has about five or six bounties on him at any given time, while my Outcast has a similar amount. It's really not hard, in or out of RP... Disclosing who's bountied you. - arvg - 09-06-2011 The Privateer ID is an unlawful ID in Zoner space, Gallic Space, Kusari Space, Rheinland Space, and "officially" unlawful in Bretonian space. There is no problem here, they can use the Ptrans as they need to. As for the OP's question, no bounty collectors do not need to tell you who they are collecting for. Bounties happen, shoot enough of the richest people on the server and they will have you bountied. I suggest smarter strategies in dealing with them, or get some of your group wingmates to fly cover for you. ' Wrote:The Privateer ID is an unlawful ID in Zoner space, Gallic Space, Kusari Space, Rheinland Space, and "officially" unlawful in Bretonian space. So tech owners can grant technology to red-celled players, then? Didn't think so... Even if you're unlawful, it's still red-cell, and still not allowed. Disclosing who's bountied you. - Govedo13 - 09-06-2011 No reason to disclose- plenty of RP reasons not to do so. If you oorply want to know who and why wait for the mercs/hunters to post in the bounty board, bounty board is not encrypted and it is open for oorp use, so you as player will know who and why claimed a bounty on you, your character however is not supposed to know if the bounty contractor does not want it. About the Unlawfull line and QCP- I would say to try percheron- it works more then fine, it is grey zone depending if the QCP ID is lawful or unlawful one, for me if you use unlawful tech you dont use BAF lawful one or other way around. Some admin input will be good on that one. Moreover, it's a bloody BAF guard ID, sold only on BAF guard bases, in the BAF guard system, and allows the use of BAF gunboats and the shire, and despite all your "posturing", everyone and their mother knows it's an arm of the Bretonian Government. Don't pretend for a minute it's unlawful. Moreover, where would you even buy it? Disclosing who's bountied you. - Jam - 09-06-2011 Privateers are considered unlawful. There is absolutely no problem in using the Pirate Transport, since it is not Molly/Rogue tech, but open tech, as stated before. We will be using Ptrans, I don't intend to change that. As for the Bounty disclosing, you don't have to say who bountied you. Though, yeah... I agree it may lead to PvP abuse, but as long as it is trackable, I see no problem with it.
