csv 3 - ivr56 - 03-08-2008

nice
I like the textures and colours, it has this is what the skin should be on the CSV 2 Collector we have right now.
But the model seems like is has many diffrent parts all fused together into a flying machine, pure junker ship

csv 3 - Xing - 03-08-2008

I like it, but it looks like it heavily lacks armor, and I'd qualify it certainly lower than VHF.

csv 3 - Etaphreven - 03-08-2008

It looks skinny:P

csv 3 - Xing - 03-08-2008

yeah... looks more interceptorish, though a bit too large for it.

csv 3 - Etaphreven - 03-08-2008

Err.. and make it less green.:P

But don't make the wings symmetrical, 'cause it would look exactly like a CSV/Collector..

csv 3 - Kingmax - 03-08-2008

I like the desing. But there is too much green and not enough gray(as already mentioned).

csv 3 - El Nino - 03-08-2008

Toping in a nice cargohold, and this SHF is just perfect, we still need a gunboat then for the junkers... or perhaps the other ship you've made, will fit the bill.

csv 3 - cmfalconer - 03-08-2008

Well, the Jinx Shipyards has another design. Actually, I do like the asymmetry of it. Like your Junker Salvager (Or whatever you called it). But as a SHF, the thing needs to be quite a bit heavier. It looks to me like it's on par with the Collector for size. The vertical hold and definately the bottom horizontal hold should be made quite a bit bigger, while the bridge stays the same size, showing bulk.

Also, you're armament is pretty big for a CSV,Collector, etc line. Junker ships seem to be quite lightly armed, so even their SHF would have, in my opinion, 4 Class9 and maybe 1 Class4 Turret out the back. Maybe 2xClass9 and 2x Class10.

While I do agree that the texture is a tad on the green side, I still think the Junkers would have the rusty, crusty look even on a new craft. They're salvagers, and salvage is rarely pretty. Also, the "Beard" it has could be a bit smaller and a duller shade of gray.

But overall impression is a good one. Well done as usual.

edit: Upon a second viewing, you've also got the makings of a Junker Bomber if one was needed. A small bridge could be moved to the vertical "hold" area above the intake, and another intake-engine assembly could be made mimicking the port side. Take off the winglets outside, and convert the outer intakes to torp tubes, you've already got the power conduits down, and voila. Just a thought.

csv 3 - ioha - 03-09-2008

Asymmetry is fine, the original CSV isn't symmetric as well (it has one mechanical "arm").
I like it very much, make it a tad "thicker" and more grey (as all the others already suggested) and I will surely fly it.

csv 3 - onca - 03-09-2008

Very nicely done, Jinx. I too like the asymmetry... being the same all round is boring. Anyway I see your not totally happy with the model, I look forward to the next draft:)
