Turn the music OFF! - Narcotic - 03-29-2012 ' Wrote:I tend to just listen to normal music whilst am ingame. With music off. But then that doesn't turn the music fully off as it pops on several times, and you have to re-adjust the volume again, again. That! Hate it... Turn the music OFF! - Adam_Spire - 03-29-2012 ' Wrote:Can't believe you find FL's music bad. not every single one, like the music when you're in nomad space and some bar music, but think of this music Replaced with this music. Some music seems more like quick paced but not going anywhere. ' Wrote:I don't like the Freelancer music. It bores me to death. (All but the Gallic tunes, though I can't listen to em every time I go there) I hate that too. It seems to happen when I go into the options and change any setting, the music comes on even when its off. Turn the music OFF! - Luka - 03-29-2012 I think the nomad worlds fit better with this but I'm ok with most other things Turn the music OFF! - Zahas - 03-29-2012 I like the original sounds from ships stuff like that - they don't blow up my ears about music - short version: Alt tab, open winamp - solved Turn the music OFF! - Berny - 03-29-2012 ' Wrote:I remember the Liberty combat music being so choppy and lackluster techo I just had to turn it off. There was even a "whoop" part in the combat music that sounds a lot like your shields coming back on line, but its not. Also various space system music is dull and not worth my time or ears.Option Nr. 1 Enter ~(FL install dir)\DATA\AUDIO directory. Rename MUSIC to aMUSIC/what ever Done - music is gone forever (doesn't re-activate after alt-tab occasionally) Want music while ingame? Use Winamp/what ever. Option Nr.2 Replace music with your music files of same names and format. Make it +- neutral ones, so that transition between neutral/dangerous/fight melodies wouldn't feel too annoying. EDIT: Aye, nearly forgot. <...>\DATA\AUDIO\SOUNDS\ Rename AMBIENCES, SOLAR and BASES with something that begins different. Like aBASES etc. (will prevent sounds in badlands, asterioud fields, bases - etc - variations to musics in house space. If prefer option 1 as it's a lot simpler and more reliable (music sound doesn't go above max after alt-tab - one of the most annoying bugs Microsoft could invent) Turn the music OFF! - Hidamari - 03-29-2012 ' Wrote:I remember the Liberty combat music being so choppy and lackluster techo I just had to turn it off. For the first time, you actually win in my eyes. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A6IcFt0EI0 This should be the Omicron Delta Iota Zeta combat music... Turn the music OFF! - Knjaz - 03-29-2012 Is there a way to totally remove music from the mod, to prevent it from turning on max volume when alt-tabbing? Turn the music OFF! - Stefz - 03-29-2012 Check Berny's post. Turn the music OFF! - Knjaz - 03-29-2012 Oh, no idea how I missed it ... and somehow I was sure, as many other games in such case, Freelancer will go @%&$*!@&*&#^ on me and won't even launch. So I didn't even try to.. Well.... THANK YOU BERNY!!! And Stefz for guiding me :D |
