I kinda agree, i've only ever seen FL ID's sold at Planet New Berlin and Deshima, but i don't really go looking for them. Lane Hacker Gunships are also sold at Mactan, you might be able to put together a great story about how you broke into Mactan, or gained the Hakcers trust, or something like that, maybe even a story of betraying the Bounty Hunters because your unit scammed you off and put you in a ship and chased you away to claim the money of a big bounty on something.

Thusly acquiring the gunship becomes impossible. An OORP docking would be required to even purchase it. Thusly Freelancer ID plus Lane Hacker Gunship equals running afoul of server rules.

Yep. That, and of all the factions in Sirius the hackers are third-hardest to steal from, beaten only by Nomads and Wild. Remember, they make fake IDs and con people for a living, I'd say they'd be pretty good at detecting it... also, if you did end up with a Hacker gunship and not a hacker, make sure to keep them hostile to you- they aren't terribly forgiving, you know.

The fact t hat the FL id is sold on places that you'd need good lawful rep, is only a game mechanics problem. One could easily say they are an ex BH affiliated freelancer who went rogue, joined the hackers.. etc.
Or a hacker who went rogue and joined the bounty hunters, taking his ship with him.

This works for fighters, nothing larger- what about the crew? In any event, either you become hacker affiliated in full, or you make them uber hostile to you when you're done.

I personally think you can forget about having stole it because, How do you steal anything including a computer inside to people who can hack almost ANY computers ? That's nonsense !

If you really, really want a gunboat, and you want to have a FL ID as well, then your best bet is the IMG gunship, or the BHG bunship. Or the Orca.

Camtheman, why not try to write an interesting RP Story about how your character got his/her ship? It would explain a lot, and it would also let the rest of us know how he/she got the LH Gunship through a bribe!
I think that it would be a good RP experience for you as well.
