As long as there are new players that become unlawful, and think they can pirate...You will get favoratizim, and all that jazz that goes with it.

I won't use TS to hunt traders but if you wander my way you can bet I'll pirate you. Not letting a potential cash cow wander away no matter who it is. Anyone attempting to use the "But I give money to the ##" will also get pirated. My Rogue likes no-one.

I was pirating in NY the other night and the guy who I wanted money from was saying "BUT I OUTCAST IN OTHER CHARACTER...." god it was annoying AND I only got 5,000 from him.
I learned my lesson, don't pirate NY...
I also played with the Rusty Donut.

Yanno what i find most disturbing?
Like today I found a zoner or was it yesterday.. and I said, zoner id, zoner aff, hm.. Okay you have those engine components go sell them at Cadiz.
The NPCs were hostile to him tho, and I don't go into that, because they shouldn't be, but I ignored it, they're npcs. I care more about pc.
So i said, okay you can sell em to cambridge but hand over 500 here first.
I open trade window, and guy offers 5mil in his trade window.
i mean wtf..

I agree with this completely, although I have never seen it. I do this, actually (you can ask Trevelyan, I pirated him twice :P), and it's much more fun than letting your friends slide by....

I'll add this: Do the same for your own characters. It is horribly OORP to have a "trader" character that lives only to be the financial life-support system for your "fun" character. If you can't make money in-character then your character should be RPed as poor. Pirate? Do some smuggling on the side. Lawful? Trade on the side. Keep player knowledge and charcter knowledge separate.

Er.. hey, new scenario.
Today I've pirated two (2) unique individuals. After being pirated, both of them switched to their unlawful char and began arguing with me. Funny thing is, one was a <faction1> character and the other was a <faction2>... both of them kinda "scolded" me for pirating them. The <faction1person> was Ageira IFFed and trading Niobium/Diamonds. The <faction2person> was untagged, but also trading Niobium/Diamonds. Both were coming through Hokkaido/Chugoku.
