RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort - Savannah - 05-30-2014 It's not a quasi-lawful direction, it's the Guild's breaking contracts with Liberty. Yes, BHG doesn't have bases in Liberty, so in principle it would seem to be possible even for whole BHG, but really doubtful since the Guild thinks in perspective too, and the loss of Liberty contracts would be unfortunate itself. But as we probably consider it as a some stray branch of BHG, it poses a problem which shouldn't arise. Since 'normal' BHG can protect friendly ships, and Voss shoots Navy, Voss ships must be ready to get shot by BHG. I don't see a problem with the whole faction having FL ID, but using BHG ID as a means of getting the desired tech without nerf in such a way is abusing the ID. But by all means, if it's allowed, I'll do the same. RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort - Fifty. - 05-30-2014 (05-30-2014, 08:37 PM)Voss) Hunting and Escort Wrote: Use FL ID. Will help you avoid the grey area of using BHG ID and shooting lawfuls. RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort - Zed26 - 05-30-2014 Just want to ask again - would you kindly post an actual screenshot of your ships' repsheet in earnest? I have heard reports that the various bases around New York - including Navy - didn't shoot you - indicating that you aren't actually hostile to the factions you've been hunting. As much as I dislike taking a negative tone and want to see groups do well, I'd say the faction may not be off to a good start. If the use of the BHG ID is primarily to acquire BHG tech (especially the Bottlenose, which is already fine at 75% core) and hunt low rank players (especially traders), it's going to be met with certain opinions. Again, the Freelancer ID is probably the prudent choice. Though it's entirely your decision and you don't have to compromise by any means, kindly consider it. As we are new and many of our ships are just made( quite literally today), some may not be full red ( those that are not red I have told Not to shoot unless their target is red and on the board) I however can vouch for my ship being full red to all of Liberty.
~Jack I am sure in due time we will be fr5ed which will negate the problem of New ships not being red to Liberty On the ID part that many people are bringing up: I will wait until Green Words are put up. at that time, if an admin says I should change the ID then Voss will change however, for the time being, we will be BHG ID/BHG IFF I feel this is the best compromise that can be made at this time. RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort - Ursus - 05-31-2014 In the past this was resolved by only exercising the bounty in space that was controlled by the issuing authority. So for example, you could take a Rheinland lawful bounty against Liberty commercial ships while they were in Rheinland space, because they actually are unlawful in Rheinland. But once those ships leave Rheinland they are no longer legitimate unlawful targets and the Rheinland has no bearing. Its the same for all of the bounties. You couldn't claim a Liberty bounty on a Liberty Rogue who is in Kusari, for example. edit--there were exceptions to this for certain types of blanket bounties but IIRC the targets had to be unlawful for everywhere the bounty claimed to cover, and was one of the reasons why only official factions could do it. ps--I'm not sure what is the new normal under the new rules. All bounties being collected are being collected with in the Allowed Jurisdiction of the Bounty

RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort Feed Back / Information Thread - WesternPeregrine - 05-31-2014 Instead of arguing if the roleplay is valid, the Liberty government should be making moves to outlaw this splinter bounty hunter group, and putting them on the list of enemies of the state (with appropriate bounties). Let the hunter on hunter wars begin! Now that is something I can get behind! ~Jack RE: Voss) Hunting and Escort Feed Back / Information Thread - Ursus - 05-31-2014 Not possible with rule 9 Quote:9. The character registered on a board must be at least neutral to their employer, and hostile to the faction they are targeting in a bounty. Who is Liberty going to hire that meets both qualifications? Is it even possible to repgrind LN positive and BHG negative? |
