I've been exposed to all kind of trash talk throughout my youth, but you don't see me swearing often (sometime with my friends, but never in an insulting manner, always more as an expression...)

Same, when I swear, it's typically out of frustration or anger, but never directed at anyone unless they REALLY tick me off.

I can be quite tolerable, just don't screw with me - you're life will be hell.

I agree completely.

Jammi, that's why he said "often" not always.

I for one, won't hide behind the old mantra "it will corrupt the children". Instead, I say "I came to this game to have fun, not to be sweared at. If you can't keep your fingers from typing out swear words and hitting enter go play elsewhere. It's a simple rule."

edit: sweared at? is that correct grammer?

You shouldn't sterotype someone on their maturity based solely on their age.

But just because you can exhibit self restraint dosent mean all your age do. Yes it is a blanket stereotype, but it is for the most part correct. Due to hormones or whatever the excuse/reason may be younger people are more likely to go off half cocked. Those that show their maturity or lack thereof here are generally viewed based on the level of maturity they exhibit. Some are very mature, most arent.

I was not stereotyping, but I do apologize if you were offended. Instead, I was simply stating something that most people seemed to have missed in the creation of this thread.

Quote:Tenacity watches Farscape by the way.

Of course I do, any sci fi show with hot alien chicks is on my list of favorites =P

BTW, gorram is from firefly, not farscape, and while firefly has no hot alien women, it does have hot women =)
