I'd like POBs as SRP but this is just additional work for game masters.

At least this way we will know that POB owner is aware of forums, English and basic rules.

This also will demand more RP from those who will siege the POB or increased durability of the subject in question. In the case of something like this will happen, POBs that already exist should submit SRP request in a period like N months from the moment of that thing to be approved if the owner did not send SRP request - his/her POB in question will be, for example, moved to one of those ??? systems and freeze, giving owner more time for request but if he/she shall fail again - POB is to be removed. I think it looks reasonable

Just FYI: There are 140+ POBs on the server. Less half have info pages. Most of the POB owners might even don't know that the forum exists

There is already a thread for cataloguing POB change suggestions. We sincerely do not need another.

There's nothing wrong, and quite a lot to gain, from polling before proposing.

Polling this community does little more than count the number of opinionated people who like to click on polls. The proposal system in the linked thread allows for formal critiques to be lodged against proposals. If people have dissent or modifications to voice, they can do so.

RE: Demands to POBs (Rule Poll) - Xenon - 06-08-2020

You are a useful player @Skyelius so I suggest for you not to waste your time and effort with POBs my friend. It is a hopeless situation of broken rules and POB plugin and it is been like that for long years without an effective system repair until it reached a hopeless case, and now requires a complete rework which I doubt that might happen one day. The balance is absent mate. Not only the demands are not limited, but siege time and other issues also are broken and bugged Smile

Save your time my good friend Smile

(... ) you seem to imply such checks and assessments are not necessary. Why?

Thyrzul,

It is not at all that I imply that they are not necessary; it is that the final implementation of such a specific rule would not have numbers in its wording, for the purpose of this thread (which is the question on whether such ruling can help better ensure gameplay quality regarding Player Owned Bases - a yes/no question).

I also did not want to engage in a super lengthy discussion involving numbers, especially since I am not a POB owner nor POB destroyer.

My question here isn't the final wording of the rule (which obviously won't contain any specifics, the fair piracy rules don't contain any either), but if it can work and is enforcable in the first place. If it can't work and isn't enforcable, then your yes/no question about whether there should or should not be a rule like that is pointless. Or at least gets a definite 'no' from me, because I wouldn't want a rule that doesn't work and can't be enforced.
