I dont think you can transfer from 5k away.
Also, peopleappear at 5k distance and the list is updated every second. Basically, if i see support, im screwed because ill be 4.8k away from them before my scanners update themselves, hence out of the race.
I really have no idea what good staying 5k away is though, but im open to reason
