A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - Spear - 10-29-2007 I knew I had read that I must demand money, thanks Unit-sk855 :D A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - alance - 10-29-2007 ' Wrote:Thats the ruling.I understand and support the "demand money before blowing up" rule, that's great. But my question from week 1 on this mod is why prevent the demanding of cargo? This still makes no sense and that rule quote doesn't clarify. A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - me_b_kevin - 10-29-2007 sorry guys but i fail to see how discussing what a Xeno can and can't do has anything to do with the original topic. Your right, but then the original topic was easily dealt with and I asked a simple question.. Not intending for it to be a debate :D I have my answer now thanks guys. A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - alance - 10-29-2007 Well then you're just not using your imagination!;) A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - UnknownObject - 10-29-2007 ' Wrote:sorry guys but i fail to see how discussing what a Xeno can and can't do has anything to do with the original topic. Back to the original topic... It could be put on the server broadcast, but I think that it is too rare an event to merit it. Chances are any other place to tell new players is unlikely to be read by them. I think you have 3 options, which you can do as your own personal RP. a) Carry on doing what you are doing and ignore the flack that someone occasionally thows your way. You are an established terrorist and the admin would take your word that you checked before attacking. b) When you do your scan of the low 30's check to see the extent of their cargo (If they have a couple of hundred K in cargo chances are they still think they are under 30). c) Don't go crazy on characters under level 35. That way you can probably avoid the scan and just attack and that way stay in RP. Personally I think attacking lvl 30 characters in an established character is be pretty one sided and not much sport. But your character is a crazed madman and sport is not high on his objectives. I must say I've been in system when you've announced you are there and you do the terror bit quite well... Well enough for me to get my trader to somewhere far away :) A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - me_b_kevin - 10-29-2007 ' Wrote:Back to the original topic... Mon'Star loves to prey on the weak, that's what terrorist do. it helps spread the terror. i mean who's going to try to take on someone his own size when there are runts about? thanks for the compliment on my ingame RP A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - UnknownObject - 10-29-2007 ' Wrote:i already have to scan to make sure they aren't carrying a neutral ID BUT i only have a limited amount of time to do this and then try to kill them before they get away. Sounds like you are on option a) then. Good luck. You will get some people complaining, but you can't expect to win a popularity contest playing a crazed madman. Personally I think it adds colour to the game. At the end-of-the day , if you die you respawn, all it ever costs are your cargo and a few bots/bats. If you've had some fun and excitement along the way so much the better. By the time you reach lvl 30 you can get your credits back fairly quickly. A Warning For People Close To Level 30 - LancerZero - 10-29-2007 Heh, I'm with Unknown on this one. Yesterday I was inbound to the Colorado system to mine some silver...but as soon as I entered I saw Mon'Star fighting a couple others, (figuratively) roaring over the systemwide comm: "HAHA! Come, come!" Eugene turned his crappy shuttle around as quick as he could and left, and warned everybody in New York to be wary if they entered Colorado. And he had to go find some other trading to do - it was awesome. Y'know, like, "Ahh! It's Mon'Star! Run while you can!" XD At the time, I was level 28, but now that Eugene has a Camara I'm 32...yep. Time to flee! =P That said, I think it's also important that not EVERYONE is a crazed madman. Most pirates aren't. It's great to have some for flavor, but not everyone. Fortunately, I don't think that's a real problem here. |
