Question about Computers - Boss - 02-22-2008

My UBER comp:

One of those little Dell flat thingys, the ones from about seven years ago. 562Mhz Celeron proc man! 256 RAM, integrated video, crappy as all-get-out.

That's now an AV cart PC.

The one I'm using these days is:

Mobo: ABIT NF8/NF8-V (nVidia nForce3 250GB)

RAM: 1GB, gonne upgrade to 2GB PQI Turbo

HDD: 200GB SATA, 160GB RAID 0, 60GB RAID 1

Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.3GHz (OC'd)

Video card: XFX NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT (Stock OC)

Monitor: 19in Envision H190L

Sound card: Creative SoundBlaster Audigy

Speakers/headphones: Altec Lansing 2.1, Coby CV-250 Swingers (whoever thought up the name deserves to be shot with a 12-gauge loaded with CD shards--Repeatedly.

Keyboard: Not really sure. Something Compaq made, nice flat keys like a laptop.

Mouse: Logitech Click! (I thought it had an extra button, turns out it does the same thing as the scroll wheel press...At least it's comfortable)

Case: Antec Sonata II, soon to be modded. [Image: Sonata2.jpg]

That's my comp, I like it.

Question about Computers - majkp - 02-27-2008

Laptop freak reporting in...

Many of them passed through my hands, this is the last one. Although it's not IBM any more, they are still very well built. It survived a fall from the roof of my car directly on the street without any visible or functional problems. I forgot it there and started driving, it fell of in the first turn...:)
