Only problem I see is the fact that Jim and/or Jeff will dislike their cousin lording it over them...

Interesting. I really like the concepts, especially the detective thing. Now we'll have some serious cops in Liberty (though I do love the doughnut munchers). The dread... I'd like to see what's going on there, but I have faith that you'll be able to pull through on that one. Keep up the good work, Zapp!

Just what we need, more capwhores.

Relax Serval. I think you do not know the LPi faction. Since their start, they're trying to enhance the RP in NY...

No doubt your Junker is banned and KOS in Liberty.

Capwhores? CAPWHORES? Serval, you are about to be flamed so hard that you're gonna have to buy a new wardrobe.

You dare call ME a capwhore? What have I missed? From the start of the LPI, I was the one most loud about NEVER having capital ships. The original faction status page that Patrick drafted had provisions for capital ships, and I staunchly and quickly told him to delete them. When the BPA said they might use Gunboats, I said 'no' very loudly, same goes for the KSP (though I was ignored there, I think).

I own a total of two ships bigger than a bomber, an Outcast Destroyer that I hardly ever fly, and a Lane Hacker Gunship that I hardly ever fly. Let me count how many fighters I own now. I have 13 fighters, and 2 bombers. Let me also tell you the definition of 'capwhore', which is someone or a group of people that flies nothing but capital ships. Every... single... LPI is in a Liberator or Patriot, bar the SWAT team which flies Havoc 2s (at the moment).

Furthermore, you picked the worst faction to call 'capwhores'. When I said a dreadnought, I meant one. It may even be armed with freakin' Justice turrets, I dunno. All I know is... what I want to say to you is a bit too graphic. Just... think before you call people capwhores.

Zapp, he's just mad he got banned from Liberty for shooting Navy officers and smuggling. Don't worry about it.

Here's the Detective's Test. Don't respond yet, as I'm gonna make a seperate thread, but it's here for review, and you can pre-plan your answers.

* * * * *

Below is the Detective’s Test for the LPI. On passing, you will be granted the right to become a Detective, and join the ranks of the most serious and kick-ass cops in Sirius (no pun intended). Please keep in mind that while humor is appreciated, what would pass with flying colors on the regular LPI exam will fail you miserably here (and vice versa!).

Name: _____________________________

Detective’s Examination

Multiple Choice: Please choose the best response.

1. The following are contraband except…
A. Cardamine
B. Light Arms
C. Artifacts
D. Counterfeit Software

2. LPI are…
A. Never allowed into Zone 21
B. Able to enter Zone 21 if chasing a fugitive/suspect
C. Able to enter Zone 21 if given permission from the LSF Director or SA fleet admirals
D. Always allowed into Zone 21

3. The following are considered “Violent Crimes” except… (hint: check the Penal Code)
A. Kidnapping
B. Murder
C. Piracy
D. Battery

4. In the course of a murder investigation, the first thing you do is…
A. Interview the witnesses
B. Review the ME’s (medical examiner) results on the autopsy
C. Search the scene of the crime for clues
D. Wait for the forensics to come in

5. How many LPI flatfoots does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A. One
B. However many it takes to realize the lightbulb is not a donut
C. Nobody knows – the janitor always screws it in
D. If they could lift up their arms, it would be one

Short Response – fill in the blanks, do not go over three lines

6. Why do you want to be a detective?

7. What is your opinion of the regular LPI officers?

8. What is your preferred sidearm? (note: this will not affect what you are given)

9. List the methods of interrogation you know.

10. If LPI policy hinders an investigation, what will you do?

Almost done. Now, write a short paragraph or two about yourself – not your memoirs, but a short outline of your life, and any characteristics you wish to divulge.

It looks good, the only question I have is why on the multiple shoice questions there isn't a "depends" option.
