In all seriousness, those who rely on platforms are more susceptible to sieges until this is fixed.

Have you set an affiliation for the base? This overrides the hostile list -- although I might change this.

NPCs setting off the shield has been that way for ages.

No, no affiliation has been set yet because no one answered the questions about the black list. Also it was shown as an option and not a requirement.

Yes although it's probably a maximum of about 60k rather 100k.

It works for me. What is the name of your base and the ship that you tested this with?

Base is the Goldern Coin. Ships tested have been a BAF ID'd gunboat, a BIS ID'd eagle and a freelancer ID'd transport. Prior to the update all 3 ships were hostile and the platforms fired in defense mode 1 normally.

Tonight, all 3 ships are white to the station, when fired at the station shield does go up but it remains white, not red. Also, platforms do not fire at the ships. If a platform is continually fired at to the point it is nearly destroyed, that one lone platform turns read and fires just before it dies, the other platforms do nothing.

EDIT: While the anti-fighter/bomber platforms work much better now their range seems to have been reduced to just under 1k. Is that intentional, a bug, or just me remembering incorrectly?

EDIT2: After doing some research, the BS solaris and battle razor have ranges of 1800m and 1500m respectively, so it seems like the current turret's range is a bit low, unless that's intentional?

EDIT3: After that restart just now they seem to be working perfectly with expected ranges. Thank you!

As you already know - but for other people - this problem is fixed now.

I've done more research into this -- it does suppress shots by NPCs. This hasn't changed.

The problem is that this doesn't always work. This also hasn't changed.
