I know there is some bad feelings about blanket bounties. - Redheart - 06-30-2011 I have a question that I did not see in the vast amount of pages. If Rule 7.1 states "7.1 All bounties must be posted on the forum. If you attack another player to claim a bounty and the bounty is not posted on the forum, you are open to a PvP abuse sanction. Mercenaries, freelancers and bounty hunters may be hired on the spot in game to assist with a combat without a forum post. The other parties involved in the combat must be made aware of this." How can this apply to pirates? Meaning are pirates with the Pirate ID given the right to collect bounties or perform bounty hunting? If so then why are they not added to this rule? I would think that the pirates themselves would be the ones that the bounty hunters and what not are hunting as they would have the bounties on their head. I am new to the server but this is a question that I have not been able to find an answer to. Thank you in advance. Edit: I see that they can "Can ally with unlawfuls, mercenaries, and freelancers" but it does not say in the ID that they have the right to fulfil lawful and unlawful bounties as the bounty hunter and freelancer and mercenaries states. I would say that if I was killed by a pirate and there was no other ship with the Id of one of the three around and he didnt RP this portion or if he said that it was due to the bounty then he would be in violation. True? I know there is some bad feelings about blanket bounties. - Markus_Janus - 06-30-2011 ' Wrote:Keep trolling on your own thread. Good. Now that I am sure this thread is pointless since you mean "feedback welcome" and when it's given "But no." Ok Snake, when you talk to someone in a certain way, don't be surprised if they talk that way back to you ok? Now for starters I don't need to defend any position to you, I asked for feedback and it was given, gave me a lot to think about. But some people just keep going on about things that were discussed ten pages ago. So now we have a position of demanding evidence to support our "theories" of lore. I can show you evidence of individuals that have been held accountable for their actions if you really want, can you show me any where they have been ignored because they were an individual? The bottom line here is that I asked for input, even from you. You gave it and I listened, we are having discussions about the very points rised here. But there is no need to come in here and beat a dead horse for hours is there, come on man, we already heard you.. If you have any new feedback by all means give it. If you instead wish to just be heard, there are plenty of threads for that. If Rule 7.1 states That is a very good question. What it all comes down to is that you are what you are doing. If a pirate is collecting bounties, if his ID says he can, then he is treated as a hunter in regards to the bounty rules. The rules, while quite good, are written by a group of volunteers, so there will always be small areas that could be interpreted in different ways. But anyone hunting is a hunter rule wise. Am I mistaken? You are very right by my understanding. However a decent amout of this community does not agree with a "loophole" like that being in the rules. And it does work better for what we are after anyway. After all a pirated victim serves our purpose better than a dead victim. Cause it kinda hurts Republican and Duamann to have an entire house cut off. Especially because we haul Quantum Multiplexors for you to sell down in Rheinland. The phrase "don't shoot the middleman" comes to mind. The fact that it comes within a short timeframe of losing Bretonia as a trading partner is, while not your fault, is a bit frustrating. The fact that this allows pirates to destroy traders without a demand is troubling to say the least. The public one is a pretty regular one open for everyone to hunt criminals and bretonians. The encrypted one has been changed to request a demand prior to using lethal force. It now should be more obvious that we are out for intercepted cargo and not for rolling heads. Multipliers furthermore have been raised and exceptions added for several factions, mainly for standing contracts and stuff we do not wish to deal ourselves with (like toxic waste): - OSC is still on the board, but won't get harassed for doing their usual work. They are only bountied if carrying stuff they shouldn't or flying bretonian ships (which is a violation of Kusari law). - IDF officials and indies are spared as long as following the little contract we have with the official faction. We still don't want them to invade our domain. - non-corporate individuals flying Kusari ships are spared under the same courtesy we grant Kishiro. - Ageira and DSE are let alone while fulfilling their contract in Hokkaido. Any supplies to Tau-23 and Okinawa are still bountied. (We decided not to follow trails that imply Hogosha stealing gate lane parts for Samura to research and blaming the Blood Dragons for it. Reason for this is not to completely lock out these two factions) - Cryer despite originating from Bretonia will be spared when delivering pharmaceuticals. I admittedly didn't check if Atka sells them though. - TAZ gets credit for long-time good behaviour. Feedback? Questions? I forgot to mention in the post above that the board is still closed. Currently you are still free to trade. Furthermore, DHC- probably would have been excluded from the bounties as well if they wouldn't have disbanded in between and left us kinda unsure what to think of them right now. Our sole interaction after their restart so far was their request whether the Sapporro-contract was still running or not, which we had to deny them when we decided to not overstretch Hokkaidos fuel operations by using it any further than our own ships and the KNF ones. While that one might be open again once/if the GMG agrees to end their riot, we decided to say that we will have to put all fuel we don't need ourselves into Kusaris strategical reserves. After all we don't know yet that Gallia is going to destroy half their fleet so they won't need that much. As for sparing RepEx, I've always seen you guys as the main competition in Rheinland since you are into shipping yourself instead actually producing goods we might buy from you. Is it only my English? I read 'interdiction' as turning them back, not 'tax' or any similar. For me it seems it's still the most profitable to shoot. Besides that, I only have one question... When will it open again? :$ I know there is some bad feelings about blanket bounties. - Markus_Janus - 06-30-2011 ' Wrote:I don't see that represented on the encrypted board. Is it only my English? When it will be open, shortly hopefully, we are still working on it. |
