Eh, if you're really that bothered about it, I can go through and attempt to add all these locations.

No.

Just... No.

Too late I guess...

EDIT: Uh. I see Soong is looking at that other wiki topic. *looks busy*

Alex, way to be the next nail.

Note: That was intended to be a slight bit flamey.

' Wrote:cshake: Again, could care less. It's easy to do; just keep it consistent. The distance off the plane was sitting right there next to the coordinates in the infobox. There's not one other article where that's been done.

You're right. You can see that the last time I edited the page I removed that from the infobox, as it really doesn't belong there. I can see no reason for the info to be right there, but as for the spoiler box I can go either way. I don't want to see the info in plain sight (in the infobox), but I'm really on the fence about removing the spoiler box.
I'm just a moderator on the wiki, I'll make changes in line with public opinion. For now I locked the page because this has come up before and I didn't want to see another edit war start.

Just for context - this is basically the only wiki page that has been specifically contested so much with this amount of emotion from both sides.

And for the "omg you guise all have to post?!?", I'm posting because it's Blodo and me that keep the wiki running and have to deal with this stuff. I'm bringing up 'arguments' because I can see both sides of the issue and wanted to put my thoughts in, but I'm not gonna override the majority just because I have the power.

Raisu:
Umm, you're taking things out of context. The 'spoiler' box in question is in the section labeled "Location". The box for "Unknown Object" that you're talking about is in the "Bribes Offered" section. Of course it's not gonna give you the location. When I added bribes to every base I intentionally added a spoiler block even if there weren't any, just to make it consistent, so you'll see that one on every inhabited base or planet.

I see that Alex has since added the locations for Atum and Unknown Object, which seems to be a hasty move considering that there is still discussion going on here about revealing this info...

cshake, part of the reason why there was that big of an issue over Leniex, is because it was specifically added as a Hellfire Base.

Sure, we don't own it discovery wide, but had the Hellfire Legion not had the base put there, named, etc everything else that went with the systems redecoration.

It simply -wouldn't- be there at all. There would only be Monterrey and America Base.

The other issue, was that it was the only base that had SPECIFIC detail on how to locate it

Others were "Go here, you -should- be able to find it from there" and were vague about its exact location.

And yes, Alex did add the locations for some of the places listed, no doubt to spite Denelo for listing them as inconsistencies when comparing to how Leniex's location was given.

edit: The reason i only quoted the bribes spoiler was for, as you realized, it being the only spoiler box at the time.

I've undone Alex's edits for now, until the wiki TEAM have a consensus as to what to do with this issue.

(sorry Alex. It would be best if you asked Cshake or Blodo before doing something like that. I know you have good intentions. Just wait and see what people say first. More information is needed before we all do something and it ends in edit wars.)

Eh. Doesn't matter. I was just talking to Cshake so was about to revert them anyway.

EDIT: Hmm. Seems I'm still blocked on skype.

Thanks man! That's quite mature of you.
Good to see. Keep it up bro.

I am so not amused by this.
OP, I hope you're not going to start another thread without having enough information at hand ever again. At least talk with a member of the faction before starting a topic here.
Anyways, the mod -is- called Discovery, so it's up to you whether you go find it yourself or ask someone. No secret locations are going to be posted unless the factions want them to be. So I'd suggest talking to those factions.
