How long is the test going to last? Does any RP that happens during this test, get reverted if the test is not implemented? After the Test, will faction leaders affected be given the chance to voice an opinion before a final decision is made? I mostly agree with Jack and totally agree with Zelot on this. Yea, but this is part of the problem, they aren't in their House, they are outside their house, in the wilds and there is no rp consequence to the expansion for the house, but lots of it for everyone else involved. The House gets to smash down on the independent systems and the independent players. But at the end of the day, this isn't about what House government would really do in rp, it's about creating a server that has a balance of different rp's and if we don't give rp's that don't benefit the houses room to grow, we wont have it. In the Disco of ever expanding ZOI's and Cloaks, it is too easy to find in rp ways to stop role play that the official factions don't like. The official factions used to have responsibility to do things for the benifit of the server as a whole, now they have the responsibility to do things for their members. The admins are the only ones who are no in a position to try to protect unique roleplay on the server. The factions sure aren't going to do it. From my perspective in the GMG, I've fought alongside Kusari in Honshu against Hispanic pirates, and fought against them when we were under blockade. I've shot up Rheinland caps wandering into Sigma-13 big-noting themselves, and went on to be a part of formal peace talks. Things can change, and it can generate some pretty intense flames! The real question is how the change is handled. If Bretonia and Rheinland are serious about expanding into the Omegas, and pushing out the IMG - the IMG needs to start getting creative in their diplomacy (if they are not able to push back directly). For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That isn't what I am talking about, I am talking about non-npc faction rp, non-npc indy rp. The Zoners have bases and power all around. This is about FL groups and individuals who don't have bases to dock on other than FL bases and don't have lots of big ships to fight back with because of thier limited ID. They can run and hide when it comes to the Houses, but if the houses can reach everywhere, there is no-where to run and hide. But hey, let's twist things around so that you can bring up a six year old grudge. Oh, and so we can let the Zoners play the victim card yet again. Though nothing prevents them taking proof of someone docking on Freeport 1 or calling in backup from their opposite, the only choice for escape remains the same. Just that a RM taking a docking screenshot of a Hessian on FP1 would not be legitimate to force roleplay consequences, as - in the past - the RM had no ZoI there. Therefore he can take the screenshot, but he cannot do anything with it and there cannot be roleplay consequences because he is out of ZoI. So yes, this extension makes a huge difference because now (depending on how you interpret the rules), exactly this "I screen and have consequences follow" might be possible now.
