Wow,t hast acctually a really good Idea, I would readily agree to putting that in!.

lol Romer I do especialy hate when some guy just flys aroudn asking for a PvP. IT's gets annoying AND it's aginst RP to Boot!

Well, the problem with charging money is that newer players, without a faction to draw money from, will never be able to fight PvP untill they've been playing for awhile. And what about traders? IF your trader gets pirated, you not only lose the cargo but 500k? seems a little extreme to me. And lots of chars don't have loads of standing cash, most of mine only have enough to keep them in missles for a week of use or so.

Personaly I don't like the idea of loosing money just because some random person decides to kill me.

1. Gives Pirates extra leverage. Not olny is there the cost of losing cargo but there is the death penilty as well.

2. Idiot factor is too high, I wouldn't like loosing money just because some idiot decides to blow me to pices without fair warning.

3. Killiing another player is not easy. With so much risk and little or no reward why bother. It can just kill PvP
(for whatever reason) all together. I don't know about you guys but I do not have that much credits to throw around

Hi,

both servertools FLShell and FLHook offer such a (and many others) function.

But 500K is ridiculos as many other "rules/fines" as well which where set by
highlevel players with chars that are already maxed out and that got lots of cash in
stock.

Somehow it seems as if some people lost a clear view for the things and forgot that
a lot of newer players aren't that wealthy.

A common penality is 10k - the idea about thos penalities is and was to have something
like a trophy, it wasn't meant to be a way of making additional cash.

I wasn't suggesting anything like that. The idea isn't to make money off of combat. The idea is to make players put a little more consideration into it. Simply flying around asking all and sundry to pvp is the most common (and annoying) thing I encounter. I'll agree, 500k is a bit extreme. Maybe only 100 or 200k.

Honestly I hadn't considered taking the money from the loser and giving it to the winner though.

mabey a percentage of what the person who loses has? that might work, but if you kill a trader, you get alot of $$$

I'm not sure I'm fond of other people getting money when you die. If we have to pay for dieing, just let it be a fixed rate (Perhaps about 100K or so) in order to pay for "insurance" and the like of the ship.

I think I'll have to go with the One-Death rule myself. Now, if only we could get Igiss to come down here and offer his own opinions/concerns, we might actually get something done!

Who said to give money to the winner? It would bring utter chaos. I'm just for loosing the money if you die. Like Kane said, insurance and stuff.

A few of us had a flick on a server where the winner of a fight took 50k from the loser, not necessarily a good
thing, would just promote people going round killing all and sundry for the money.
Maybe just the loser kissing 50k goodbye ...

I don't like the idea. It would cause a lot of people to flee from a fight, shield run, and do a lot of dirty tricks not to lose the fight.
It looks more realist to lose money when you are destroyed (insurance), but I think that losing 2mill on ammo and other stuff is enough. And it might bring more problems that solutions.
