Pirates in penn - Capt. Henry Morgan - 07-05-2009 ' Wrote:Imbeciles. If you believe a gunboat rawx the sawx off big trade ships, you are sorely mistaken. They deal out less damage than a bomber and are much easier to hit. Sure, maybe for a Supertrans or something, but against a Shire or Liner, you're in trouble. Yeah. A Shire, kitted out with a universal type 8 armor upgrade is a terror for a pirate of any kind, gunboat or bomber. The Shire practically doubles as it's very own escort. As for the piracy issue, the pirate should use their head. It's not a great way to make credits, so there's no harm in letting the low-levels pass. Though myself and another Buccaneer did pirate a Rhino for 1,000 credits once, just because we could. He was FL ID'd, and fair game, and 1k is chump change, even to a starflea fresh off Erie. That's more the exception than the rule, though. If they're new, let 'em go. You'll be able to hit them again when they've got their feet wet a little more. Lob a few torps at them and watch those turrets fall off if you feel very evil... Quote:Doubt they're pirating starfleas ... since starfleas have nothing to lose, how can they be intimidated by anyone? But pirates in Penn at all is a bit too much. Penn should be noobs home... but if there's goods bought and sold there ... might be the problem of the traders drawing the pirates in. Get a bloodhound and pirate them for 1 000 $ Teach them what is a pirate, let them blow you up if necessary, show them a pirates RP and then recruit them and profit. Pirates in penn - Dusty Lens - 07-05-2009 Ayur, not to spam too far off topic, but nova torps make those handbags very sad. Provided you're not an idiot like I was with my first torp bomber and come equipped with four missiles and a torp against a 30k transport shield shire. Still, only took 2 shots to knock out the thruster and four guns. Pirates in penn - Bear - 07-05-2009 Quote:Get a bloodhound and pirate them for 1 000 $ That's exactly what I'm saying, teach them the in's and out's of pirates by doing this. But don't just barge on in there and demand what they think is a large amount of money (ie: 200k). Pirates in penn - Mircipion - 07-05-2009 Quote:Cosmos: anyone pirating in penns should be shot...IRL hah good luck. We are specifically outfitted for anti-cap just because your lvl 60 and think you are safe in penn your dead wrong. once we pirate someone we dont pirate them again for 24 hours, as our rule. dont like it...o well.. EDIT: we have a very large sum of miners that do business with us.. why... because in return for a small annual extortion fee, we look over our clients, and make sure they are not harrased by either pirates or police. of course not all want to accept this.. because they think aparently there are tough... and we knock them down to size. we can either work out the deal peacefully...or it's time for aggressive negotiations.... Pirates in penn - Guest - 07-05-2009 Micro...you do realize what you are doing is being a 30yearold commando shooting your testasterone covered rpg launchers in a kindergarden? Pirates in penn - Elsdragon - 07-05-2009 Quote:Micro...you do realize what you are doing is being a 30yearold commando shooting your testasterone covered rpg launchers in a kindergarden? Epic Right there Sigged Pirates in penn - Mircipion - 07-05-2009 hahahaha my point is...just cause your lvl 60 and in penn doesn't mean your not piratable... and seeing as we absolutely do not pirate traders under 49. I find it very annoying to say the least when this is accused on us EDIT: its more like super novas but rpg's work to i guess haha as for gunboats..like I said there are only about 4 within our ranks and are only used when it is required. can this topic be ended now? if you want no pirateing in penn simply take out all the trade aspects... Pirates in penn - Seth Karlo - 07-05-2009 I would just like to say, as my final post before I dissapear for a week, that any sod who attacks a LF in a Gunboat will probably regret it, as I dislike my LPI friends being ganked. So, I have "lent" my Dreadnought to the LPI while I'm gone to eradicate any annoying Gunboat idiots. Thanks, and have a nice week. -Seth Pirates in penn - MrHeadphones - 07-05-2009 I'm probably looking at this the wrong way, but: GB: Maximum thrust speed : 139 Rhino: Maximum thrust speed : 199 Well, either way, I don't really feel that large numbers of GBs should be camping the pennsylvania helium field just to hunt level 31 Rhinos. Honestly, if you want to pirate something in Liberty, head to New York or one of the systems around that, there's usually enough traders around, and enough Lawfuls to make it interesting. |
