And that was the latest attempt to play a pirate on my part, someday i'll do it again, but not today it does not worth the effort nor pvp or rp wise.

Yup ... got lots of people that wanna blow you up ... and that's about it. Yup ... that's about all you get for role play from most folk here ... "kill the pirate."

Back when I was doing an LD-14 blockade, I mostly wanted to chat with the people. I gave them 3 options. Pay 6 millions for their cargo and ship, turn around and sell the stuff in the next system with no loss at all or be shot. I made some statistics for myself:
- 37 "pirated" ships
- 2 payed
- 1 chose to get shot ("kill me, I have no cargo anyway")
- 8 wanted to turn around (minor RP, but present) but then went to LD-14 above/below the plane or around the sun
- 4 turned around and went to sell the Boron (I think) to New London
- 4 actually RPed and were let to pass
- 5 started to shoot at me after or during I was typing out the lines
- 8 didn't bother to RP at all and just cruised away (ending up in flames...well one did manage to escape)
- 5 F1'd

I think there is a better chance of having a good RP session with a pie rat then a trader.

Problem is, you were trying to RP with a blockade runner. And most of them dont have any RP >.>
Its a bit like trying to RP With a Generic Liberty pirate.
Frankly, I want all the goramn double standards to come down. then things will be fair, and the only reason people will Q_Q is because they dont have an advantage.

Tried to make some donation hunting today... i saw the miner, he stoped, talked a bit, he wasnt fast to respond, than i knew why, he was calling backup. Thats fine.

But, i havent made any demand, just plain talk, than i hear "you a terrorist", "leave or die". Thats strange, but ok.

Than comes a freelancer to colect a bounty on my little Roc bomber. I wasnt in the mood to fight anyone, so i tried to leave, i start to get shot at, i escape. I ended doing mission for Pacifica because i felt that the BHs NPCs had better RP than the miners i would meet if i hit the fields, or other places. Oh, and for a miner with full hold of ore i only ask 1 mill if they speak or 2 mill if they make me CD or SNAC them.

So conclusion...*insert oppinion here*

Just be nice to each others...have fun...and stuff

Liberty generic pirates? Hmm ... what about all the mercs, hunters and lancers hunting said pirates? Trust me ... there's a lot more pirate "hunters" than there are pirates in Liberty. I see on average maybe 3 traders in a given night in Liberty. So there's not much "pirating" going on. Most times its the pirate running for their life or resorting to NPC interaction. Sometimes I think we get more RP with the NPC's than we do with human players.

Your "advantage" in Liberty is that there's SOOOOOO much more firepower available to ward off pirates its not even funny. And you cannot complain about pirates hitting up traders near Liberty bases ... cause the Dreadnaught patrols seem to pop up 2 or 3 at a time near Manhattan and other hot spots. You can't even get within 10k of the planet without your shields "mysteriously" dropping 100% ... and then you look around to find ... nothing. So back to your QQ?

I think I found the source of your problems.

I don't think that 6million charging is an excuse not to roleplay with the guy. The numbers seem fine and healthy.

' Wrote:Just report them for lack of RP if they engage, both of the sides should RP... It's on the rules, all the fights should happen due RP acts. This is writen even on the game messages. So if the pirate simply kill you without any RP, that engangement should to be OORP, dont you think??

And if you are a power trader, that dont talk, etc etc etc, nah.... you should be killed any way, dont you think?

True that, and all pirates who complain about traders who try to run away, what do you actually expect? That they just stop if you ask so? Of course they try to run away! //If you would get robbed in real life, you would also try to run, won't you? But of course, if they run to far(Getting to close to a base/JG) then you have the full right to shoot them, you also have that right when they F1, no mercy on that. And if pirates would ask reasonable prices, traders won't run that often. But as I said, many pirates are flying in a Pirate Transport, they demand your cargo or a part of it.(If you fly with a Hegemon that means -28 millions). So yea, then you better try to run and have a chance to survive!

Pirates vs RP? - Malenka - 07-20-2010

Oh please. If someone doesn't RP, it's the traders. As Vlko said:

1% traders halt a RP
50% traders say GTFO and starts trusting so they die
25% F1 in attempt to not get busted
And the other 24% do something else.

The point is most traders suck. Indie pirates suck too, except some. LR- pwn ass, and soo does the VR.

Pirates vs RP? - Anomander - 07-20-2010

if in space weren't to much bloody pirates, and they'll always give a proper RP and reasonable prices then transports will pay more often.

I always try to run away or ad least try to negotiate a price - but sometimes I simply can't proper RP becouse stupidy of pirate.
