Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Thunderer - 02-23-2012 I have an idea: it can be a fake admiral in a liner that just seams lonely. Actually, it's a trap made by GRN to capture as much indie Dunkirks as they can. Figure out some reason why wouldn't GRN destroy Argosax immediately, maybe to wait for more to come into the net? Figure out some reason why wouldn't GRN destroy Argosax immediately, maybe to wait for more to come into the net? iRP "indies" doesn't exist, not in the military anyway, all dunkirks and other stuff is "under direct control of BAF HQ", and this whole "admiral/whoever on a liner" sounded... weird from the beginning. I'd make it something like... attempt to hijack a supply convoy before it reaches it's destination or something. just my 0.02$ Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Black Widow - 02-23-2012 there cant be an event without some GRN Indys Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Thunderer - 02-24-2012 I have another idea: this can be a battle for those indies who can't participate in the BAF+Exiles vs. GRN event. I think there should be a Gallic war materials supply convoy, which should bring the supplies to the GRN fleet which is participating in the BAF+Exiles vs. GRN event after battle (if they win). If GRN wins the battle, they'll be vulnerable without supplies. We must be ready for the worst, so we expect the GRN to win. So, we must destroy the convoy in order to make GRN retreat or be obliterated by a BAF counterattack. It would be good to capture the cargo. If we don't capture it, we'll get just 1/2 of the prize. I suggest to the GRN that they should have 2-3 Taureaus, their battle transports, a fleet (also reinforcements for the mentioned fleet) consisted of 3 Valors, maybe 2-3 cruisers, 1-2 gunboats and couple of snubs. We should have 1-2 Shires (to capture the cargo, or maybe Percherons are better, they can evade, so they can capture it during the battle, not after), 2 Dunkirks, 2-3 dessies, 1-2 gunboats and couple of snubs. The Gallic fleet should be destroyed because they are the main fleet's reinforcements. GRN should try to save their ships and the cargo, it's not made to be wasted. They will get just 1/2 of the prize if they win, but lose the cargo. Do you agree with this, should we make a new thread, do you want to add something, or to remove something? Or, this is an idea as "good" as Black Widow's? Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Aingar - 02-24-2012 ' Wrote:Or, this is an idea as "good" as Black Widow's? Idea itself is pretty good, although the expected numbers are quite... big, you expect around 8v8 event around the supply convoy, while there will be another, propably just as big event at the same time, we'll have to see how big interest in the "main" event will be, also indies are welcome on the main event (hard to say if you knew from what you said, if you did, my apologies), and the ones that won't be able to participate will most likely be on the side that will bring too many ships, leaving them with nothing to do, as there will be nobody the could face, I'm not sure if the "main" event will have sort of "maximum number of participants", I'm too lazy to check:$. Still, in case this won't work due to the player numbers, it's a nice idea for an event on another day, sunday maybe? It's just important that GRN has a bit more forces. I forgot to mention that both fleets can be proportionally reduced. I can't come on Sunday, but you'll probably find somebody to replace me. I think we'll need a new thread for this. So, see ya on Saturday on the BAF+Exiles vs. GRN event (I know that indies will be allowed, and I'm an indie), if they let me in. Oh, and don't play for the GRN. You'll get my Tertiary shell into your hull if you do. Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Renoktu_Ree - 03-30-2012 Argo and all of you in the 13th. You are looking for pew pew as you said, but you miss ALWAYS the important thing here on Dsco 24 RP server (points on RP<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<). In RP there are 100.000 of guards from GRN sitting in each system and more in backup. A hell of recouces in BS BC GB Bo Fi.... And you say"lets go quick behind enemy lines..." argh men na sorry, when you wake up finaly men really... Get it finaly PLEASE that its a ROLEPLAY. Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Thunderer - 03-31-2012 Edorion, I agree with you. But, there is always a "but" - people need to interact with each other. In FL, they need to fight together and against some group, to compete. I don't agree totally with Black_Widow's (the leader of the 13th) idea of going behind much more powerful enemy's lines with couple of big slow capitals, but I like his idea of being together in a group, you know the good old "bundle of sticks" trick... This is a game. It is made for playing and relaxing. Edorion, my friend, please relax. And play. And just laugh when some 13th "noob" flies into a planet and says something trite when his ship explodes. (pls, don't get this wrong: laugh in your mind, don't laugh in the local or system channel. Laugh, as funny as it is, is sometimes insulting) Btw, you reminded me: this event didn't ever happen and it probably won't outside Connecticut. Hey, we can do this in conn! Wonderful! RE: Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Black Widow - 01-12-2015 bumping this as an idea for a great event aside from the regular pew events we have been having to give some more RP behind them. event does not have to follow the exact outline in the OP but something like a rescue event could be great fun. RE: Behind Enemy Lines I: Rescue the stranded HMS-Argosax from the GRN - Connor - 01-14-2015 I don't think you've read the comments and took them onboard, have you? Alot of these comments still stand and are valid. Reread them, edit your post and redo this thread. Don't forget that the BAF do not have the resources to get out to Orkney without losing alot of their stuff. InRP, you wouldn't have gotten there on your own especially in a Dunkirk |
