Here's a rather odd idea.
Make JDs internal equpment and take up an armor slot.
As such, jumpships can be used more for scout roles or solely for the purpose of jumping other ships. Without armor, the jump charge time can also be cut by a certain margin and should provide more chance against being CDed.

It's bad idea. Because not everyone use jumpships as scout. Mostly for war.
So why no CD on new Corvo?

Corvo never had purpose of being offensive tool. It´s not meant to be warship. If you want something for war, there are other ships for that.
Also, allowing solo pirating in really overpowered gunboat (ship with gunboat guns and CD but also cruiser powercore and shield) is not good idea in my opinion.

It doesnt have a CD and it still thrusts at cruiser instead of gunboat speeds.
