Petition to Save the Military ID - Grumblesaur - 11-22-2008 ' Wrote:Alas the cutter service is Yet Another Liberty Faction. Which quite frankly the server doesn't need. Liberty would be better served with folks joining the LPI. I agree with Del. Liberty already has 3 major military factions. Not to mention they have their trading factions: Ageira DSE Interspace Universal Cryer Let's try and improve the Kusari and Rheinland militaries. Petition to Save the Military ID - Coin - 11-23-2008 ' Wrote:I only know a few types or armed organisation in the world of today; swiss guard of the vatican Gurkha regiment of the British Army The standing army of Blair Athol, scotland (ok, theres only 100 of them but it counts ok!) I voted yes, but think that the military id should only be allowed for factions/players that role play as house military. Independant Military is aka 'sirius police'. at least if it was a requirement that they had to have a house tag, it would mean that players outside of a faction could RP as the lib navy, and not be forced into joining a clan - especially useful for those players who can't get online as often as they'd like. removing it would mean that the abused id would be the BAF/LN/whatever, giving them access to caps. not a good idea imho. Petition to Save the Military ID - Ark - 11-23-2008 I wouldn't expect an independent military to be sirius police any more than I would expect Gallia to be. In short, it would be wrong. They'd have their own interests, their own sphere and agenda. Although, on researching the Mercenary capship mess that I wasn't present for, and studying the indy BHG now, I am beginning to understand the collective fear here. Understanding the resultant bias. However, as other people have said, people with no intention to RP will always find a way to avoid it. The problem isn't the IDs, it is those individual players. Nerfing down every ID that becomes a problem, is only treating the symptom and not the disease. People need to think about that and redirect their well-intended energies. |
