Gunships, a class of its own - chopper - 12-02-2007 @frozen - Yes, you can kill it with engine kill. If he's not CD-ing you. If he is, you'r bye bye. It's all about who pilots it, it seems to me. Or maybe liberty gunboat is much more agile then m26? Dunno. LH gunship is much more agile then old Rouge gb ever was, and that's a fact. And, if i recall well, rogue gb had like 70-90k armor? And gunship has 65. Yes, maybe Rouge gb was harder to hit. But this one turns like mad. Gunships, a class of its own - Doom - 12-02-2007 what means light gunboat?.....compared to others Rouge GB is light GB and bretonian is heavy GB... Gunships are bomber like ships with GB sheilds, GB power and insane agility...they unbalance entire capital ship line of ships... they render out need for bombers and they became uber fighter killing machines Gunships, a class of its own - Jinx - 12-02-2007 @deneldo: don t people very often choose a faction cause they like the ship? at least at first - untill they make up their mind and go for a faction first. - but the first thing you see when you re not too used to what the roleplay on the server is about, you go for a ship, i believe. i don t think it needs a whole new shipclass. gunboats are nice oddities, but don t really need to be put into a class ( so that factions not having one will ask for one ). ps. i fly a kusari gunboat - but replaced the foreward gun with a lvl8 fighter gun. doesnt make it a "light gunboat" its just a modification. i get less damage, but more sustained damage, cause i can fire it non stop - and the gun has a 360 degrees arc, instead of a 15 degrees foreward arc. Refire would have to be smtn like 5,6,7 seconds, in order for your idea to work. And that is not possible, because, if 1 CD would miss your target, he would get away. Not going to happen, i think;) But maybe completely remove CD from Gunboats/Gunships? That way, they would not be able to pirate solo (someone already had complaints about that), and they would not be able to use CD in combat. Sounds pretty good to me, don't know what the others think? Gunships, a class of its own - Horon - 12-02-2007 Dont know why this didnt come to me till now, but why dont we give the gunship 4 gunboat turrets and 2 fighter turrets instead of JUST 4 measly gunboat turrets? Also, how would we go about changing the power generator that they use? The BH Gunship uses the liberty gunboat power. How would we change that without impacting the Liberty GB? Gunships, a class of its own - RingoW - 12-03-2007 @ Single: I guess Igiss don't like the mixture of fighter and capship weapons. A new powersupply/engine must be generated in one of the ini's. Its not that great work and this one could be used for all gunships. It is independent from the exhaust gas trail effect. So they will not have the same, when using the same engine. Respectfully AoM |
