At the end of the day it boils down to this:

You do not break the rules to satisfy your vision of how a rule breaker should be punished.

You do not F1 to prevent someone re-engaging you, you do not blow up an underlevel player for killing other underlevels.

There is no more to it than that.

In this circumstance what you should have done was cease the transfer and take the transferee someplace safe, then complete it.

You have fallen afoul of the rules, accept it, deal with it and move on. Enjoy the rest of your game time.

I was helping someone transfer a mini razor, MkVIII armor upgrade, several weapons, and a few million credits from an unarmed patriot to a new character in a starflier.

If this noob would have destroyed that person in either ship, he'd have lost millions of credits worth of equipment, all because some guy wanted to be a griefer.

Even a starflea can cause harm.

It's HIGHLY recommended that you transfer his credits first so he can get the ship, then have him come back for the rest of the gear. Or, if not that, at least tell him to get a better ship, for instance, the CSv - sold right on Manhattan.

Tenacity sorry but rules are rules and I support Xoria and other admins in their decision. Although we know you'll be back, we certainly know that the guy that made you do such things probably won't. Point is, you are putting them in the awkward position when you place yourself above the rules man, and that's the fact that we all need to think about.

no matter how much do we respect the rules the fact is that more we quote them more we are familiar with them and that means we know when we're breaking them. Rising up to defend yourself in such situation is really a low blow for the people enforcing the rules because you're being a hypocrite.

Fact is that you did not get permabanned or anything like that, and you will be back and continue to be contributing member of society, because that's what counts.
