Discussion of Order Council - Dra1003 - 12-22-2008 The only reason i see to still attack the LSF maybe is because of the nomad experiments they do but then the order should only go as far as Alaska then. also sorry to say this but calling calling people kids doesn't really help you know. Try electing more responsible indys to the council so this whole run by Bs thing stops Discussion of Order Council - Drake - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Okay, since everyone here seems to want to be a whiney brat... Flaming never helps, especially from a 'leader'. My only interest in the subject is the fact that your plans for a ruling council with actual authority to enforce edicts on independent Order players is completely and entirely against the (relatively recently created, and very recently enforced) rules. If you can do this to enforce your particular vision of Order RP, then anyone can, which is exactly what the original rule was created to prevent. Factions cannot control independents, period, and if an independent character acts in a blatantly ooRP manner then they can be reported. The Admins have been very clear that they don't want players enforcing server rules themselves, and it's a sanctionable offense to try and do so. You'll just give yourself an ulcer, unfortunately the Order ID is one very often adopted by persons who would otherwise have a Corsair ID but then realized they couldn't go into NY. See above for words of wisdom. Especially knitting. Discussion of Order Council - Tenacity - 12-22-2008 Quote:The Bs| are meant to be an elite WING of the Order, not THE Order. Therefore, do what a wing of the Order would do. Are you not reading what has been posted a dozen times in this thread? No black squadron member has any control anymore over current order independents. Everything is being left up to a voting group, and the vote for any decision has to be unanimous. As I've said in my response - while some of the other voting members of this 'council' may base their decisions on personal opinion, I will consult all of the more active order independents for their input before placing mine. Hell, what I dont get is that everyone here is saying I'm some kind of kiss-ass to black squadron, when I've been one of the biggest anti-faction players on this server in the past year. What people fail to understand - and keep in mind that 90% of the people posting in this thread with complaints dont even have order characters - is that this is how things have worked in the order for a very long time now. Order indies and Bs| players have had no problem working together and making decisions in the past - the only people this effects are players like Bluntage who exists as a member of the order solely so he can use the biggest ship in the game and pvp whore in the most populated system in the game. Neither of those are acceptable for any player on this server. If this sort of action were being taken by the corsair factions, or the outcast factions, nobody would have any problem with it - because those idiots camp new york with half a dozen OC dessies DAILY, so why the hell is everyone fussing over this for the order? The problem here isnt the majority of independents in the faction - most players in the order know their limits and know how to RP fairly well. The problem is players like THC, who use our tag and ID as an excuse for behavior that is otherwise not tolerated on this server, and in doing so make every single order player - in a capship or otherwise - look like a pvp whore. We will not tolerate the entire affiliation's name being slandered by a few players who abuse the privileges of the ID. Discussion of Order Council - stewcool - 12-22-2008 I so dont have the time to read all this right now but I have read a good amount and if you need me for anything im up for it obviously. Im in the Order and im staying Discussion of Order Council - n00bl3t - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Are you not reading what has been posted a dozen times in this thread? You have been anti-faction, or whatever it can be labeled as, with the exception of Bs|, which, if I could be bothered to find the exact post I would post it here, where I remember you praising them completely in one of your leaving threads a long while back. The council seems like a puppet organisation. Edit: This post needs to be re-phrased. Discussion of Order Council - Snapp - 12-22-2008 Binary units will guard order bases as always... We've mostly stayed out of alaska/newyork anyways so no issues there... As far as my "take" on this whole deal from my pov... The Order and LSF are, have been, and should be "at war" fighting over control of Alaska and 90% of the encounters or fights should take place there. It's a warzone. Going into new york is oorp unless your going to assasinate someone who is infested or take out a specific target, with rp to back it up... Which should also be done in fighters or bombers or maybe the occasional gunboat for support, but never osiris's... Unless its maybe rp'ed from both sides that a whole liberty navy battlegroup got infested somehow or something like that... same with Bh... they wanna push the order out of minor and take toledo for themselves so they would have an easy way to alaska without having to go thru liberty... they should die the moment they get close to the jumphole in delta or enter minor... my 2 cents Discussion of Order Council - Koolmo - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Flaming never helps, especially from a 'leader'. Amen brother. No offense to you wolfpack, but I have some serious reservations about enforcing non-canon roleplay on folks, right after one of your own members got sanctioned for it. I don't care if it was a Bs| member and this new council is supposed to change that, the fact is that you announced the roleplay for The Order complete before you declared the council. You told them what they would say, and how to say it, before they were even formed. Discussion of Order Council - Drake - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Everything is being left up to a voting group, and the vote for any decision has to be unanimous. This wasn't my impression, what with the mention of a deciding vote for ties and such things. If all decisions must be unanimous, what do you need a deciding vote for? Anyway, to me, at least, this isn't a question of the effect on the Order, I actually agree very much with most of the proposals. The question is the effect on the server as a whole, because if the Order can do this kind of thing, even if for good reasons, then other factions can too, and not necessarily for good reasons. I'd merely like to hear from the Admins about this and its effect on the rules. Discussion of Order Council - Dra1003 - 12-22-2008 ' Wrote:Binary units will guard order bases as always...
