Pirating demands - Sprolf - 11-23-2009 We'd rather take yours, laddie. Pirating demands - OutlawBullet - 11-23-2009 Perhaps the miners stop trying to power trade their loads? It's enough most of you make 30-65mil in a trip so stop whining. Would you rather we pirate for cargo? Heavens no. Stop complaining, play the game. Need escorts? Make some friends. It's what me a SeaFalcon do! It's called teamwork. Sheesh Pirating demands - Gaz83 - 11-23-2009 ' Wrote:It would also make it pointless to pirate as the trader would have more than enough time to flee while the pirate dealt with the escort. Well then is'nt that the whole point of an escort? Pirating demands - Capt. Henry Morgan - 11-24-2009 ' Wrote:Well then is'nt that the whole point of an escort? No. An escort who's doing his job should prevent the trader from ever getting near a pirate in the first place. If the escort has failed in that, then there's nothing else to be done, really. Pirating demands - reavengitair - 11-24-2009 Quote:It's a shared ship. After every run, you're supposed to give half to the faction bank and half to the character you're raising the money for. ... NOT A SHARED SHIP! BEYOND.THE.JUMPHOLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MINE... until 2 weeks ago. Everyone has known this. It's now rented to Curt Remmert. Because obviously you can't be in more than one place at the same time. Pirating demands - Capt. Henry Morgan - 11-24-2009 ' Wrote:Alright fair enough. You don't have to be. Fly down the lane before the trader does. If it's clear, the trader then follows. If it's not, then the trader lies low until it is safe. Many people just think the fact that we're stealing on a regular basis instead of working a little illogical. Well, at least for those of us who RP, there's a reason for the character to do such things. Mine, Drake Calvin (LR-Lapsed.Pacifist) was forced to do it in order to support his family after his parent's lost their jobs. He didn't have any other way of making ends meet. After he got deep into it (look for the story The Defective Ghost in the Stories/Biographies section) and got in serious trouble, he couldn't get a job because he couldn't go public. (All this has reminded me I need to update the story soon) Well, the point is, dont just assume we're all badly RP'd "10milrdai" pirates. Give us a chance, and you'll probably enjoy us as a part of the community. Yeah, I thought I'd add something else to this one. Because even now the pirates already lost his chance of getting paid if the trader has an escort. Because: 1.Pirates kill trader, as always. 2.Escorts kill pirate. So either way, pirates are not getting anything, if the trader has escort. Unless of course the pirate likes to destroy traders, is doing it just to spite the trader, or to get the blue message. |
