Suggestion: Apply new standard to existing bases too - Moberg - 02-01-2014 With the recently introduced ruleset regarding player owned bases the server administration took a good step towards reducing the amount of ooRP and unnecessary bases without taking away a toy for many players. Now you require dedication and reasonable explanations aswell as a good story regarding the starbase you put into the Discovery universe. This is a fairly good step towards solving quality issues regarding future POBs that I am personally very much in favour of. However, there are still issues with existing that are not solved this way. Recent events which caused huge threads about POBs - which also eventually led to the necessary regulation - showed that the currently built POBs are a problem regarding gameplay, immersion and general lore consistency. I'm sure many people have their own examples of this in their own head. The current amount of POBs also cause additional server load that should be aimed to get rid of. Through 'quality-control' by the administrators it would be ensured to reduce the issues caused by POBs are reduced to a minimum. Furthermore, this does not divide all bases into two groups, basically the ones where the new rules apply and the ones where it does not, thus creating an unfair situation in favour of the current player owned bases. In order to solve this along the lines of the recently introduced ruleset regarding player owned bases, my suggestion about this is to:
