Sniping or shotgunning? - Durandal - 03-07-2014 Right so basically in the latest update, 2.00s got a huge buff. Because of this, minirazor damage was nerfed by 2000 to make it so that shotgun damage (A combined 2.000/minirazor volley for those of you who don't know) remained the same. However, this comes at the cost of reducing MR damage which has some interesting effects that I'm not really sure I'm fond of, like making it impossible to one hit kill some very agile ships, as well as the MR no longer fully removing shields in one hit. The solution is keeping things as they are now, or returning the old MR damage while increasing the energy usage so that 2.00s can no longer be fired in the same burst with it. I'm curious which people would prefer, as personally I'd rather have the oldstyle MR back at the expense of no more shotguns. As for everyone saying to change things drastically, I made this poll to offer a simple choice, not to fully contradict the devteam's current balance decisions, as those should be given awhile ingame to see how they work. I'm not calling for anything to get buffed or nerfed, this is just a question about what people would rather see become of the minirazor. RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - bloogaL - 03-07-2014 No option to vote for old razor damage and same energy usage. Shotguns need a buff. [: RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - |nfrared - 03-07-2014 This is realism vs "fairness", something this server panders to far too much in my opinion. A shotgun setup from a GB sized craft should easily be able to double-tap snubs. You are only going to hit a non stationary target very rarely anyway, and if a snub pilot is stupid enough to sit still against a ship that size, well, they have it coming. RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - Vice999 - 03-07-2014 I'd remove the MR and instead add 1.00 weapons with 2000 damage! Also, buff torpedoes! btw Justin: How many porn sites (or whatever your job is) did you nuke today? We're talking about fighter weapons. (03-07-2014, 11:25 PM)Vice999 Wrote: I'd remove the MR and instead add 1.00 weapons with 2000 damage! Lost that job :\ RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - |nfrared - 03-07-2014 I stand corrected. That's what I get for reading the other shotgun thread first. My bad. RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - Reid - 03-08-2014 There's no option for "Let's see how things work out with the current one before trying to change it" RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - Korny - 03-08-2014 No. I don't want. Don't do dis pls RE: Sniping or shotgunning? - Detale - 03-08-2014 Quote:as well as the MR no longer fully removing shields in one hit. Old MR 19,400 9,700 New MR 17,400 8,700 VHF Shield - 11,038 I think even with old MR you cant drop shield of VHF. Bug fixed.
