Generic Hauler ID? - TheFreelancer - 08-03-2015

Well.... I dont know if someone has suggested this before me, but anyways, Basically, take a freelancer ID, remove some of the features (for example forfilling bountys!) And allow them to use 4200 transports (Also make them nodock with shipping companys!)

Vote: Should It be in the game or not?

Note: I wont be voting for this, because some people have been around much longer, and i want to see what they think!

For example.....

Haulers are independant people who make money off hauling cargo, They are not affiliated with any faction, and work for themselves
Pilot carrying this quasi-lawful ID is a Hauler, who:
Can attack any ship in self-defense or to protect an friendly or allied ship.
Cannot use any transports with more than 4,200 cargo, except for the Pirate Train.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats

Well, maybe somthing like 4200 cargo or somthing...

Edit: Modified the ID a little, to make it more viable, rather than putting shipping companys out of buisness!

Funny thing, we used to have a Independent Trader ID.
It was merged with the current FL ID.

Anyway, if you want big toys, you will need to work for the big boys. No way around it.

I honestly think it would be a nice thing to have, so you dont have to join a massive corporation to use a large transport! (It might need to be edited a little though!)

Putting it on 4.2k will make it almost equal to some factions like IMG who has 4.3k restriction.

NOPE

@sindroms said it best. you want really big trans, join a corp or become a corp indie. we dont need FLs with uber big cargo ships.

I don't know. Since there are already house variants of the vessels, I can't say why Large Train and Advanced Train should not be open for Freelancers or ID that can trade only.

They are, well, generic after all and they are, in most cases, overpriced compared to the house versions.
