Repair Ship? - Antonio - 08-07-2015 Does the Repair Ship have any use in this game? I know it was one of the most hated ships and usually when you had seen one they would completely fk up a fight with bot sharing, but now when that's removed, how about giving them an actual purpose? Because at this point we might aswell delete the ship altogether. Here are some suggestions to balance it out: 1.) Reduce the regens size to ~500, but make it the only ship in the game able to share or drop bots. Don't know if it's doable though, need dev opinion on it. 2.) Make it interact with PoBs somehow, like constructing new PoBs together with Base Construction Platform or give it the ability to provide repairs in the event of base sieging. 3.) Delete it. Adding poll soon. Discuss. RE: Repair Ship? - Oldum - 08-07-2015 If I remember correctly, there was an idea once to give it weapons that actually deal negative dmg ( or repair the target, whichever you like more ) so it would have a reason to exist, cause right now, apart from being an RP platform rarely used by anyone but industrial companies ( DSE , Daumann , BMM maybe ) there is really nothing you can do with it. Dunno where the idea went from the initial concept, but that would be useful. If it's not possible, I'd say #3. RE: Repair Ship? - MonkeyMan - 08-07-2015 Reduce regens to 500..... Are you mad!?!?!? Most caps use that for one repair very reason why the repair ship has 4000 do it can be used to heal many caps in battle( if it doesn't get killed that is) I say allow the dropping of bats and bots along with being able to transfer them either via trade or /transfer nano nameofchar 600 for example... RE: Repair Ship? - Antonio - 08-07-2015 We found a cap only pilot here, woah. Calm down. If you allow them to transfer regens to large capital ships, guess what happens? You can then fill up 20 snubs instead and regens on them are MUCH more valuable than on a cap. By keeping 500 regens it's more than enough to save a destroyer or a gunboat, and refil a few snubs. You want to heal many caps in a battle? Bring many repair ships. Otherwise, it will create a huge balance problem. The only solution for your "keep the 4000" suggestion is if we allow percentage transfers, e.g. 30% of the ship's maximum regens, but again, don't know if it's doable. Also Oldum, a pretty good suggestion. RE: Repair Ship? - Scar - 08-19-2015 For me this mod should add repair turret that work only on repair ship.
