Trading in 4.85 - Drake - 03-09-2009 A question for people who designed the trade economy: Assuming a 5k transport, what would be considered a 'good" credit-per-hour ratio for trade routes? Not merely 'decent', not 'the best', but 'good'? 20 mil? 30 mil? Trading in 4.85 - Eternal - 03-09-2009 It's pathetic realy. I don't think I'll have any time to actually play the game , because I need to trade all the time now. I get this , 5000 cargo transport > 1 hour and 30 minutes for the complete run and the run itself is VERY annoying > I make around 28 million in total. I do the trade run suggested by Xoria for Rheinland. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p35...ba9CA&gid=0 Trading in 4.85 - Tenacity - 03-09-2009 ' Wrote:It's pathetic realy. Sirius found the best commodities (wine for example) from Gallia and want it at all prices. Find them by yourself, and don't try the external tool, that's not a good game, better get a char you go in all stations with, you will get more satifaction Trading in 4.85 - Salvager - 03-09-2009 I found a couple of good stuff to take in and out of Gallia. Not going to spoil it for you non-congressmen :-p Trading in 4.85 - Tenacity - 03-09-2009 what I meant was inner-house trade, without having to leave gallia, because lawful gallic corporations are pretty much unlawful outside gallia right now. Trading in 4.85 - Benjamin - 03-09-2009 I spent a few hours on my junker yesterday and found plenty of decent routes. I guess I never really powertraded so I don't know if they're extremely awesome or whatever, but I was basically just flying around exploring new areas and new bases and commodities, and I made like 30 million without ever consciously 'trading' Trading in 4.85 - Drake - 03-09-2009 Note that, unlike some people, I'm not flaming the new economy (yet, at least), I'm just curious as to what a 'good' profit-per-hour ratio in a 5k transport would be, so I know what to work towards. Trading in 4.85 - Benjamin - 03-09-2009 Well if the economy is being flamed a lot, I just want to say that I really love it. My two 'traders' are a Junker and an Orbital Spa & Cruise liner. If there's two commodities that had sucky routes and were in short supply/variety, it was illegal commodities and people commodities. Now there's a bunch of each, and even better, my OS&C can drop people off at a base, and then take different people somewhere else! No more flying empty or filling my hold with non-people (Blech! I have chairs and windows!) My only concern is about scientists - there's no profit in these guys (I've found 8 locations so far, and the price varies between 2,000 and 2,500.) I heard someone say they are 'RP' commodities. I'm not sure how I feel about this. If part of being an RP commodity is that it is impossible to make money with, doesn't that kind of imply that any trading that actually makes money is OoRP? While I love that we have the scientist commodity, because it IS good for RP (My OS&C vessel is run by intellectuals, so shipping scientists around makes a load of sense for them, and I have RP'd VIPs/passengers as scientists before in the past), but I don't see why there can't be a couple of routes for them. I don't know every infocard in the world, but I'm sure it would make sense for them to be cheap on Cambridge, and bought at a high price at the various research stations, planet Kurile maybe? That sort of place. Obviously doesn't have to be crazy profit, but just enouguh so that I don't feel totally useless doing it. |
